Any news here?
With Krypton on an Pi3 I cannot access the internet over the wifi hotspot. On LibreELEC 7 this worked without any problems.
I haven't looked into it any further because I've got a wireless router now, sorry.

I believe there is a toggle under the services tab.
Maybe try a different ntp server, the default one didn't work for me either.
I stumbled on a "enable Lirc" option in the Libreelec settings under Services. It works for me again, not sure if it was the same problem you were having.
I just updated from 7.90.* to 7.95.1 and got the same problem. It worked fine before.
No time to further investigate it at the moment. I will look into it tomorrow.
I don't think what you want is possible. Afaik an original TV remote is not really configurable in combination with the paired TV. I think you could get a remote for your RPI and configure it so the Pi sends commands to the TV on certain events (shutdown, etc.).
(Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not an expert on this)
I got an error trying that:
I've looked at ifconfig and while in the GUI everything is set correctly, ifconfig gives me a gateway of *.*.*.255 instead of *.*.*.254.
Is there a file where I can change these settings?
Also, the tether has a totally different IP range (standard 192.168.etc) but I think that's normal, I think it was that way too when it was working on OE.
I posted about this and some other stuff a while ago but didn't really get an answer so here it is again.
I used my RPI3 as an AP when I was using OpenElec because of the shitty wifi reception I have in my room upstairs.
The same option is in LibreELEC but I can't get it to work properly. It starts an AP but without internet access.
Did I forget something from when I set it up on OE or has something changed?
Have you tried fiddling with the PLL adjustment settings in audio settings on expert level? Might help since it says something about audio drop-outs in the tooltip.
Also (maybe I'm just a noob) if you are using SPDIF coax how is it that Nvidia HDA is still shown as an output device?
Ah ok, maybe change it back so you're not going to have problems with that in the future?
I assume you tried both the laptop and RPI on the same HDMI port?
Did you calibrate your laptop and do you have any other computer/device to try?
It looks like the wrong colour-space. In your log it says: hdmi_pixel_encoding=3 which is YCbCr and it should be RGB.
Change it to hdmi_pixel_encoding=1 (Limited RGB (16-235)) or hdmi_pixel_encoding=2 (Full RGB (0-255)) in the config.

3.) The streaming problem seems to be solved and is working better than before. I'm not completely sure what it was but it had something to do with my DNS settings or an IP conflict. I changed from manual IP address to DHCP and it got fixed and now after I put it back to manual again it still works.
I suspect you have the PiFi Digi+(blue pcb with an infrared sensor)? I have it too and it took a while before I had it working.
I remember I had to put some lines in the RPI3 config file under bootloader configuration:
dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt
dtparam=audio=off
dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
dtoverlay=lirc-rpi,gpio_in_pin=26
dtdebug=0
not sure if this is all still needed or even what it does but it worked for me.
The gpio and bluetooth ones are for the infrared to work I believe.
3.) The video streaming Addon is not illegal afaik. It's for state television (NL) and is freely accessible on almost every platform officially. I haven't tried YouTube yet but I think it will have the same problem. I tried YouTube, it seems to work fine, though skipping a few seconds doesn't work.
1.) It might be my receiver (connected via Toslink with Pifi Digi+)
2.) This is all on RPI3 and it worked on OpenELEC so I'm not sure what you mean.
4.) I thought maybe some settings to increase power for HDDs or so that the USB soundcard couldn't handle. It worked fine in my PS3 so I want to know what caused it before I plug in any other USB device in the future.
Hi,
I've got a couple of problems with my RPI3 and I'm hoping someone here could help me with them.
I came over from OpenELEC a few months ago and am quite satisfied with it.
1.) I get a beep and/or static noise when the audio source gets changed (normal to passtrough and back). Is there a fix for this?
2.) I've not been able to get my RPI3 to act as an AP with internet access on LibreELEC yet, it worked when I was running OpenELEC so I'm not sure what is causing it. I'm getting a Wifi point but it doesn't give my phone internet access.
3.) A couple of weeks ago I updated to the 7.9 ALPHA builds and I've been having internet streaming issues. AddOns start slow (loading info off the internet I think) and when I start a video it takes about 2 minutes to start playing for 10 seconds and then it starts stuttering and skipping. Streaming from my local NAS works fine.
Also, the new Kodi uses a new default skin, are there any problems with switching it back to the old default?
EDIT: 4.) I recently blew up my USB soundcard when I put it in my RPI, is there a setting that might be causing that?
I hope someone can help me with some of this.
I'll try to post a debug log as soon as my RPi3 is done backing up.
