Hello, there is an interesting device on the Internet that is of interest. It has an rk 3399 processor. What firmware can be installed on it. What is its compatibility with other consoles?
I don't recommend it TV box. rk3399 is a powerful chip with unique capabilities that competitors do not have (NVMe). To fully realize its power, it will also be necessary to redo the cooling system. Therefore, it makes no sense to spend money on TV box, watch SbS rk3328\rk3399 better. If you definitely need a TV box, it's better to look at the Allwinner H6 (not H616) models.

However..latest Armbian images (5.10 and 5.15 kernels)
Don't mislead people, there have never been such versions of Armbian (with such kernel versions). This version of unknown origin and content, Armbian has nothing to do with them and is not responsible for them in any way. In the future, do not use the "Armbian" designation for such versions.
too as the Armbian ones were plaiguarised from LE in the first place.
Not so. Initially, I developed a universal multiloading system for Armbian, and only then transferred it to LE. By the way, LE still uses an outdated version of the universal multiload, which has long been replaced in Armbian with a new one.

can you help?
Sorry, I don't have such a model, I don't know what's wrong there.

Does LibreElec work well on generic RockChip boxes?
If you are talking about TV boxes, no, they are not supported.
Are there plans to support recent SoCs like RK3566 and RK3568?
This is already being implemented. I am making test builds for rk356x, but the KODI interface does not work in them yet.
There is still required some mainline kernel work to be done for video.
Hi Alex
Using the latest patches for VOP2, I am building a version of LE with a 5.16 kernel. The system starts normally, there is a primary LE splash screen, the partition is expanded (the process is correctly displayed on HDMI). Next comes a reboot and an attempt to launch KODI. But the interface (GUI) is not starting yet. Maybe I'm building KODI incorrectly (other options are needed). In Armbian, the XFCE desktop is working and the system can already be used to play video (minimal) with HDMI audio. I am testing these assemblies on Station M2\P2, Armbian has the main equipment running (HDMI USB LAN1\2 HDMI sound).

I haven´t found any more recent images for RK3188, any plan to release newer ones in the future?
I added version 2021115-armv7, but I didn't check the work of rk3188\rk3288.

New versions are possible, but it takes time, I don't have it yet.

Version 20210621. Fixed the operation of analog audio on Station P1 (no reboot needed to work, all parameters work by default)..
-
new version of Libreelec 20210614 with core 5.10.43. Added support for analog audio and a standard remote control for Station P1.
To switch to analog sound on LE to P1, after selecting the device in the settings, you need to restart the system to turn on the sound.

I noticed that updates for aml g12 are missing in the recent releases.
Do you plan to continue supporting this platform? If not could you please share more info on how to build such myself?
Thanks!I don't have any working devices with AML left, so I don't test or release them anymore.

Your image does not have an analog audio output device. There are only devices for HDMI. I added some patches and built a new version of LE. In my build, an analog audio device appeared, but when switching to it, there is no output to it. I suspect that you still need to add the settings for turning on the sound (via the mixer).

I checked your image, but found no linear audio output P1. Have you checked its operation on p1 ?
