Hi all
I've installed the latest Libreelec on the Q-Box S905x (tried both SD Card and Internal NAND) and when I either press the power button on the remote or choose shutdown on Kodi it just reboots again. I checked Android and that does either standby or shutdown, depending on what you choose in the options. The box has been updated to the latest firmware.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?
Thanks
What is the current state of 8.0 on S905x boxes? I dont use PVR or play any strange formats. I mostly play x264 1080p files, some xvid and maybe in the future some UltraHD x265's, but 99% is x264.
Is the playback for these files fairly solid now?
Hi all
Simply put: My Nexbox A95X (905x) keeps turning itself on if I change any input on the TV, I have a few devices plugged in so do change fairly often. I have literally turned off everything CEC as far as I can see but still does it?
My setup is a 4k LG TV to a Onkyo AV Receiver then PS4/TiVo/Bluray/Nexbox. All other devices dont cause any issues or turn on. I've turned off CEC on the TV & AV Receiver and also disabled within Kodi.
If I enable CEC it works as in I can control the device via the TV remote etc.
I'd rather not just leave it turned on all the time. Is there any way of correcting this issue?
Thanks
As it says... I have input the timeservers as 0.ntp.pool.org 1.ntp.pool.org 2.pool.ntop.org I've tried just one. I've tried wait for network before starting Kodi but it's hit and miss if it picks up the correct time on a reboot. If I click on the server and hit OK, it picks up the time straight away. Can anyone help? I have a Pi3 running OE with the timeservers and this picks up the correct time and date every time. Is this a problem with LE?
I had the same problem with mine, not very reliable. I am wired too, so should be quick. I am able to set my NAS as a NTP device so use that now, it works everytime, although maybe not something everyone can do.
If the Pi doesnt have any issues then maybe its something that can be fixed, possibly the wait for network isnt working as it should.
Hey, a bit OT but could you please tell me how much free space do you have on internal? I'm having issues writing and reading to external at the same time and I'm wondering if 16GB boxes have enough free space for what I want.
Yeah I looked at mine earlier. 1GB was reversed for the system and I think it was about 11.5GB for the storage, I cant remember if that was the total or the amount left though. I can check tomorrow.
Thanks guys, initially I tried the Gbox MX2 remote as I liked the idea of the stock remote working, however it didnt work (neither the stock remote or the Harmony!) maybe its not compatible with the Nexbox, or maybe the file needed some tweaking?
So I tried the Pivos remote and it worked fine with the Harmony, obviously didnt work with the stock remote but that'll be thrown in a cupboard and never used again anyway!
Hi all
I'm not new to Kodi but I'm a little lost trying to sort out my A95X 905X box. I've got Kodi installed and running great, no major issues, except the stock remote doesnt have any Pause/Play/Stop buttons as standard. Theres some buttons on the remote that are not bound on Kodi and I'd like to bind these buttons to be my Play/Stop etc buttons. I'll then use a Harmony remote.
I've done this previously with my x86 HTPC & also RPi, but previously used LIRC, which doesnt seem to be active. So hows best to achieve this?
I've used dmesg -c and one of the spare buttons returns:
[ 1849.355133@0] remote: press ircode = 0x5f,
[ 1849.355173@0] remote: scancode = 0x018a,maptable = 0,code:0xa05fdf00
[ 1849.355231@0]
[ 1849.706691@0] remote: release ircode = 0x5f,
[ 1849.706821@0] remote: scancode = 0x018a, maptable = 0,code:0x00000000
but I'm lost how to translate this into Kodi, I tried creating a keyboard.xml file in keymaps and used:
<keymap>
<global>
<keyboard>
<key id="0x5f">Stop</key>
</keyboard>
</global>
</keymap>
but it didnt work, it was a little bit of a stab in the dark from a Google search.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Just wanted to say that the latest dev build works great on my A95X 905X (16GB/2GB), my main concern was DTS passthrough and 24hz. I've watched a few hours this evening and its performed flawlessly. I havent installed onto the nand yet.
The suspend isnt working, it just shows a blank screen when un-suspending, I'm not sure if thats because its running from SD or not. It's not the end of the world and I'm sure it'll get sorted at some stage.
Very happy with it, we're all very lucky to have people like kszaq doing all this hard work.
