ssh in (eg with Putty on windows or ssh on Linux then enter the following command:
This will produce kodi stacktraces, upload it to ix.io and output the URL of the uploaded backtrace (eg http://ix.io/4GFw)
so long,
Hias
Thank you very much! I will try that, as soon as the issue happens again.

Hi,
currently I am suffering from the following issue: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/23738
This is also discussed in RE: Intermittently spinner in video and live tv stays visible - channel list empty after stop
The developer ksooo now asks for stack traces in the Github issue and recommends to ask the "LibreElec guys" how to get the stack traces. I searched in the forum and via google but, I could not find out how to create stack traces in LibreElec. Can somebody help me and explain to me, what to do?
Thanks and best

Now it happend again, with debug enabled. I hope, that this time the debug log might give any insight.
However, the log is quite big, as it happened after days. As it has over 6 mio. lines, I was not able to use https://paste.kodi.tv/. Instead, I have uploaded it to Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wtIbV4…iew?usp=sharing
I hope, this is ok. If not, what could/should I do instead?
I started to play a radio channel at 9.25 today and the spinner stayed. After I pressed stop at 13:31, the channel list was gone. Actually, this time, I had the screen off, so I did not notice it earlier. Sorry for that.
Another thing, which actually got my attention is, that minutes before I stopped the channel, the kodi.bin process consumed nearly 90% of the 4GB RAM - my locally running Zabbix made me aware of this. Maybe, this has something to do with that?
So far, I had not the time to disable all addons, and test to enable one after the other. The issue with that is, that the staying spinner and the loss of the channel list happen totally random, which makes this approach time consuming and uncertain. But I will also try that, as soon as possible.
I forgot to post the link to the Githib issue, I created for that: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/23738

Oh yes, sure, forgot to mention. It's a Sundtek SkyTV Ultimate Dual (https://shop.sundtek.com/DVB-S-S2-S2X/S…B-S-S2-S2X.html)

TVHeadend is running on a regurlarly updated Arch Linux aarch64 on a RPi 4 with 4GB RAM. TVHeadend is built and installed based on the package from AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tvheadend-git
My router is OpenWRT based, snapshot from main built on July 29th running on a Edgerouter X SFP.
Usually I used Estuary, since a couple of weeks I used Estuary Mod V2, both have the issue with the ongoing spinner. Now I tried Aeon MQ9, right after I watched something on Amazon VOD and the same happened - in this case not a spinner, as the skin doesn't have a spinner, instead on top is shown "Zwischenspeichern" (translated to english "Caching"), which is not going away, although the channel is already playing fine. After hitting stop, the channel list was empty and I had to restart Kodi, as usual. So maybe not skin related but, thanks for the tip!?
Will do that, thanks. As soon as I have it done, I will post the link here.

Still ongoing with the most recent nightly.
One thing, which came to my mind, is, if it might have something to do with inputstream.adaptive? I have the feeling, that the spínner problem mostly happens, when I start a live tv channel after I have watched something in addons like Netflix or Amazin VOD. Could there be a relation? Does pvr.hts even use inputstream.adaptive?

Have you any video add ons installed that may be causing the issue. Also check the frequency of your EPG update. That’s another element that can affect live TV performance.
I have installed the following video addons:
plugin.video.amazon-test plugin.video.ardundzdf
plugin.video.discovery.hgtv
plugin.video.joyn
plugin.video.nasa
plugin.video.netflix
plugin.video.youtube
My EPG update interval is set to the default two hours since years, I've never changed that.
smp Thanks for your reply and confirmation. At least I am not the only one.

petediscrete Thanks for your tips. I am still checking all those things, however, so far nothing suspicious. In the meantime, I recorded the behaviour in a short video. As you can see, the spinner is still shown during playback, and after pressing stop, the channel list is empty. As I cannot provoke this issue, I have not recorded the populated channel list in the beginning of the video.

I stumbled upon something, which could be the culprit here: I had set the option Delay in Playback on refresh rate change to 4 seconds. Ths leads to the following behaviour: When I start a channel, the spinner is shown, than the screen gets black (I think, the refresh rate changes), then the channel list is shown again with the spinner, then the screen gets black again and then the live tv is shown. And sometimes, in that last step, the spinner was still visible and stayed there - and when that happened, after stopping the channel, the channel list was empty.
Now I have disabled the setting Delay in Playback on refresh rate change and the behaviour changed: When I start a channel, the spinner is shown, than the screen gets black and then the live tv is shown - so far, the staying spinner did not happen again. I will test it in the following days and give an update here.

I had installed the alpha 5 of the youtube plugin, and just updated to alpha 7. Do you think, the YouTube addon could be the culprit?
The signal of all the channels is around 70% to 90%.
Since June 3rd, I have disabled the youtube addon alpha 7, and since then the issue didn't occur. So it seems, the youtube addon could indeed be the culprit here. As you petediscrete suspected this right away, could you explain some more detail, please? This should also be opened as an issue in the bugtracker of the youtube addon, I think - if it is or could really be the culprit.

Hi all together,
I have a weird and not reproduceable issue with tvheadend based live tv in the nightlies since a couple of weeks. I try to describe it as best as possible:
I start one of the tv channels, which are provided by my tvheadend server (hosted on another pi). Libreelec nightly is running on another rpi4. Sometimes, when the channel starts to play, the spinner is still visible and stays there spinning until I stop. After stopping the channels, the channel list is empty. The only way to get full functionality again, i.e. a populated channel list, is rebooting the pi. Attached is the log, when this happens. However, as it is not intentionally reproduceable for me, I have no full debug log. Does anyone have an idea, what the issue could be here?
If further information is necessary, please ask.
I would be very thankful for any hint or proposal.
