    Well, i finally got all of my movies and tv scarped and then i added them to my Kodi library that i have on my desktop to see if everything looks good before putting them on my Raspberry Pi.

    Today, i had to redo some artwork myself and added them by just removing the old artwork and replacing them.

    I had one poster in a movie folder "puss in boots" PUSS IN BOOTS (2011)-poster. i got a better looking poster and named it the same, but once that i reloaded it in the kodi library, it still shows the old poster. What's up with that.

    I had another movie and replaced the poster "Dutch (1991)-poster. I reloaded the movie in the kodi library and it did good.

    I had just got through scraping all my movies to set up library on Kodi.

    So I scraped a movie again ALITA BATTLE ANGLE (2019) but the log page pop up

    Just don't know what happen, the movie is named right got the year out to the end, would it make difference if i add (2019) or just plane 2019 without the ()

    I have three part episodes

    S01E23 And Martha Stewart Have a Ball (1)

    S01E24 And Martha Stewart Have a Ball (2)

    S02E02 And the Pearl Necklace

    When i was working on my videos getting them ready, i join the three part episode together to make a full episode now, i have it

    S01E23E24S02E02 - And Martha Stewart Have a Ball (1) - And Martha Stewart Have a Ball (2) - And the Pearl Necklace

    But when i add the episode to the kodi library, the video shows up as if i added them part 1 part 2 and part 3 instead of one full episode file. its like if the scraper had scraped the three episode in the full file creating three video files in kodi library.

    On the USB drive where i have my videos stored on i have the main source folder/TV series name/season and the one video file

    I got it all laid out.

    TV SHOW the main source

    Sub-folder the name is tv series

    Season folder name of each episode.

    I been having issues on adding the TV shows to the Kodi library, so i think that i was missing something.

    TV SHOW/sub-folder name of tv show/season each episodes. i think that my issues, i never apparently added the source folder.

    I got a scrapper on my desktop. For a test run which i'm doing I scrapped a movie and then i added that to the Kodi library and it works.

    For a tv series I scrapped a seasons of a TV show and that scrapped. I tried to add the season to the library and it can up like it shows in the attachment. I enter the series of the TV Show but it wouldn't go, as i try scanning the season to the library.

    Since that i have Kodi on the SD card, I have a USB strip connected to the Raspberry Pi 4, with the portable drive with all my MP4 videos on it and a small drive with some retro games. Can i put retropie on the USB drive with all of my retro games on it.

    Like on a DVD player when watching a DVD and you want to fast-forward rewind or just skip every moves good.

    But on my Pi 4 with Kodi, I can be watching a video and when i fast-forward or skip, that when the video just freeze, what issue could that be

    ReEdit that question.

    Example. One of my TV Show that i have (The A-Team), I normally look at cast over at IMDB.

    After creating the main source folder name TV SHOWS then i name the sub-folder (The A-Team) and the year at the end.

    I dropped all of the (The A-Team) episodes mp4 files in the sub-folder.

    Would i rename each TV episode like this for example (S2.E1 Diamonds 'n dust)

    So after loading the TV Show up in Kodi library, it just shows the folder, like in my last post, but not my episodes.

    So could that be that Kodi is so touchy that it won't show my TV Show episode because that they have to be in their own seasonal folders and the episodes has to be name the correct way.

    So, i downloaded a program that scraps the videos on the desktop.

    I had some movies stored on a usb drive connected to the desktop. So, i loaded the movie up here here https://mediacompanion.sourceforge.io/ and it works. I loaded the movie in Kodi library and it works great, a wonderful look.

    But i did a few TV Show episodes it that all showed up in the kodi library good.

    So the tv show shows up good in the kodi library, but the episodes don't show up in the list.

    Think i had stumbled on some that works for so far. I downloaded this here https://mediacompanion.sourceforge.io/ and watched a video on how to get nfo file of the move. So, early today, i did a test run on a movie that i had stored on a hard drive, and loaded it up in here https://mediacompanion.sourceforge.io/ and after going through the steps, everything came out great. I loaded the movie into Kodi library and look just as if i was streaming online great looking.

    On the TV Shows, i also had a few episodes in a folder on the same hard drive on the desktop so i can do my test run before setting it up on the TV. I loaded up the TV Show folder in here https://mediacompanion.sourceforge.io/ and nothing would happen.

    I look at IMDB all the time and it just wouldn't work on TV Show

    no, it's not the poster, every since that i renamed it poster.jpg and stored it in the same folder as the movie file, it works. The question is , when creating my own nfo file, is this batch here all i need to create one.

    The xml tags or whatever you call them, i got that. Example <title>movie title></title> i think i got a hold on that, beside, all i be doing here in my Movie and TVShows. just wondering how much information do i need in order to create a working nfo file.

    This show an example what i got

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <movie>
    <title>movie name</title>
    <originaltitle>movie name/originaltitle>
    <plot>information about the movie</plot>
    <genre>action</genre>
    <rating>5.4</rating>
    <runtime> 2 hours 31 minutes</runtime>
    <mpaa>Rated PG-13</mpaa>
    <studio>DC films</studio>
    <director> Patty Jenkins</director>
    <uniqueid default="true" type="imdb">7126948</uniqueid>
    </movie>

    is there any more details on the movie that i need to include. I have the poster cover located in the same folder as the movie file name poster.jpg
