no way... first 4 boots went ok, after that several boots failed to get ethernet

ok, well, the image in SD (12 beta) its just the image downloaded, nothing else. the installation in the eMMC is not, that was upgraded from 11.0.3 to 0.4 and now i have 0.5 (that i see has been removed from download site)

since i started to test 12 beta, i saw that, normal reboot (from the kodi menu), next boot OPI3 runs from eMMC, so i though that was a "normal behaviour", for that reson i began to do a "system shutdown", power off-power on and this way it boots always from SD.

edited later: intalling from diferent sd card (previous is kingston 16gb, now samsung 32gb), now it boots normally as you said, from sd with no power off-on cycle, however 3 boots needed to get network, last was power off-on included, im testing more boots cycles right now...

hello, all "my" reboots are performed using the power cord switch each time to allow SD card boot, otherwise OPI3 will boot with eMMC.

hi there, just the testing done with no success, 6 boots needed to get ethernet working, tried editing as you said and set up to 20 with same results, 4 boots with no ethernet for now.

how can i delay the boot? excuse me but i dont know how to handle this things, could it be "wait and/or add more time waitting network" settings option?

thank you, i think i have send it... this time i was lucky, 1st boot no ethernet, 2nd boot ethernet so i send journal 0 and journal 1, i did text copy/paste on notepad of the screen text and links in case you need them.

this was done on 10th march so ethernet conn. went up when the date points to march 10th i think because 27 feb 16:26 its the time it showed me when ethernet was not working.

sorry, im confused. i go into settings-> librelelec-> system and under logging i did activate "use persistent logs", journal size 30mib, disable journal rate limit on.

then what log do you need and how to get to you?, i see "upload latest kodi log and configs" and "upload latest kodi crash log and conffigs"

hello, installed 12 beta 1 in my orange pi3 lts (SD card install to keep my emmc installation and settings), this i have found:

-first boot after installing its ok, but after doing some config (country, language, time zone and others including static ethernet IP to have access with Kore app), second reboot (always with power off-on cycle), then ethernet connection is not working anymore, no ethernet detected after several reboots (this issue happends to me with Nexus 11.0.x sometimes as well, but not often and after one reboot the ethernet conn works again normally).

-2nd format SD and reinstall, ethernet detected, no personal config done, reboot and no ethernet, 2nd boot no ehernet, 3rd reboot ethernet working, again testing to disable dhcp and set static IP (thinking this may be the problem) and again no ethernet anymore after reboot, but...

-third SD fresh install, first boot no ethernet (just after SD rearrange by Libreleec), no config changes made, second reboot ethernet working... after that i tried severals (20-25 times) shutdown+power off-on cycle with more than 90% no-ethernet issue after a new reboot, seems to be random fails but quite more often than with 11.0.x.

hello again, just reporting my experience.

since i updated from 11.0.4 to 11.0.5 freezes almost stopped, became very rare, but after update to 11.0.6 they are back again. i decide to donwgrade to 11.0.5 and incan confirm that freezes vanishes in a 99% in compared to 0.4 or 0.6 versions, i have done this "up and down cycle" 3 times with same result.

all the updates/downgrades were made not with a fresh install.

Guys, I would like to contribute a bit at least on this, but I dont inderstand 85% of what you talk about, but I strongly appeciate and Im gratefull about the work you do. thanks really a lot

hi, since i turned off CEC (libreelec settings) i have had less lockups than before, quite less, however still happends as you know.

btw, since devmem command did not fixed the issue, should i revert it?
