Seems you are really old school. Memory is not expensive anymore so you can save your configuration. Therefore, configuring it once is enough these days 8o

However, I would also be interested in 8.90.4 cause of the tvheadend 4.4. Maybe configuring is less time consuming with the new version and it is even worth trying for Tim_Taylor

Tvh 4.4 will just be the same as the current version however Tvh 4.2 will also be available so people should be able to switch builds easier without Tvh and all their settings messing up.

Not for at least another week, there is big changes in the next version specifically, amremote is being removed so everybody will have to reconfigure their remote configs but it will mean you can use any IR remote of your choosing. Wetek/Minix/Tanix/Kseries users will probably have the standard cheap remote configs baked in.

I was an old dreambox user myself back in the day.

    Yes, I know.

I don´t understand why so much users want to play netflix on amlogic box

They can use the TV to play netflix up to UHD resolution.

Do You think it´s possible to enable netflix hardware decoding(amlogic) in the future :?:

That one confuses me as well because my TV does a great job of dealing with Netflix, but I guess the idea would be to have everything in 1 place.

From what I am hearing there is a chance yes but don't get your hopes up.

Unfortunately to cut your post short the decoders used for Netflix are not hardware accelerated so the maximum resolution you can goto is 720p, this may change in the future as Leia is only at an Alpha stage.

There is nothing I can do about this, a quick search on the forums would have shown you this as well and saved you a lot of trouble and a pointless upgrade to the UHD package, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I just discovered that I made a mistake regarding the SPIDF issue. I had my amp set to the analogue output from the TV and not my SPIDF driven DAC. I can now correct myself and say that the SPIDF stays alive when the TV is off.

I apologise for the confusion and request that these comments be deleted as misleading.

Glad to hear you sorted it, I did find it strange when you first mentioned the issue because Chinese boxed have always been capable of this

Did you install the latest widevine library?

if what you say is true then you would need a device capable of identifying itself and sending edid data etc...

I would say sat support is never never land either I believe khadas team are or will be providing afl1 with the board and I suspect he will resolve the issue very quickly once he does get it.

It's very hard to do testing remotely, make 1 change and wait for user to test and trust the users are testing properly before saying it doesn't work, it's the exact reason I didn't want to do an s912 build before I could personally test it.

im testing the kodi 18, trying to use netflix addon.. giving me some issues.. is any way i can install chrome to use netflix

    this command could work

    wget chromium-browser_56.0.2924.84-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1011.deb
    sudo dpkg -i chromium-browser_56.0.2924.84-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1011.deb

LibreELEC is not debian and you can not install debian based packages on it

Netflix does not work on 8.2 builds, there is plenty of information on how to get it running on these forums

Tried messing about with the CEC settings and disabling CEC but nothing helped.

I think its a HDMI handshaking issue coupled to Amlogic taking shortcuts with the drivers. They basically piggybacked the SPIDF output onto the HDMI output and haven't offered it as a seperate ALSA card.

I remember kszaq talking of a use case when I was trying to submit a pull request to LE where by a user may want to play audio with no hdmi connected and use Kore to control Kodi, I assume you are trying to do something similar here. The spdif stays active with chinese S905 boxes when no HDMI is connected so the same should happen here.

I have an unrelated question regarding the dTV board which maybe best asked here or in a separate thread.

For me its fairly important that I can get the SPIDF on the dTV board to output without the TV been on. What seems to be happening is that the SPIDF on the dTV board is tied to the HDMI output such that when the TV is off the SPIDF on the board stops working. There is no option in the audio settings to select the dTV board SPIDF.

So is it likely that this is a driver issue or is it a Libreelec settings issue ?

sounds like a bootloader issue, maybe try turning off hdmi-cec

Download got corrupted, it will attempt to redownload and apply again on next boot.

You made it. Thanks, New dtb from here is great with Le 8.90.3, Multi CH PCM is good, all other formats are good, no hissing (yes Poida, maybe this is the best word :) ) LCD works also, every icons are good.

    Thanks.

    Just asked, what was wrong?

It's exactly the same as the old DTB, just the name is different, I never did anything.

The naming had to be changed to match what it will be called in LE9.0 official release.
