1. Sorry, but I could not find any Information about a "Grundig GU22WDVD01" TV on the Internet.
Did you try another HDMI-Port on the TV or did you use always the same ?
2. You're using the HDMI-Out of your Motherboard ?
If so, did you enable the "HDMI Audio Output" in the BIOS of your Motherboard ?
It must be in the BIOS under "Onboard Device Configuration"
I've got an English Manual of this Board, (Download from here
https://www.asus.com/de/SupportOnly…elpDesk_Manual/ - "H81I-PLUS User's Manual (English)")
Look at Page 2-24 (Picture of the BIOS-Mainpage) and Page 2-31(right on the Top the Setting is described)
3. Look at
System -> System -> Audio (where you can select the Audio Output Device)
Did you set
"Number of Channels" to: 2
and
"Allow Passthrough" to : Off
4. Also it makes me wonder why "ALSA: HDA Intel HDMI" is shown 4 Times.
You only had 1 HDMI-Output on your Motherboard.
Maybe you should "Reset above settings to default"
in System -> System -> Audio (it's down on the Bottom)
then turn off your PC and TV.
Than first turn on your TV and than your PC and look what Kind of Audio Output Devices are now available
Question to the MODS:
This is my 26 Post on this Board, why must it still be checked by a Moderator ?
I thought after 10 Posts this is not necessary anymore ?
Or did I get this wrong and it's 25 or more Post now ?
Thanks for all your repleys,
but well, that's it for me.
LibreElec gave me too much trouble on the Eee-PC, so I'm back to Windows XP.
It's not the fault of LibreElec, the PC is simply too old, the CPU to slow and it has only 2GB Ram.
The Eee-PC can handle WIN XP, it was installed before on this PC and there's even a Sticker on it that says "Desinged for Microsoft Windows XP".
Because the Computer is to old I can't use WIN 7, 10 or 11 or some modern Linux, but I don't go to the Internet with this Computer so the old WIN XP should be OK.
I simply want a to "transfom" the Eee-PC into a Machine that can playback MP3 Music-Files and some 720p MKV Anime-Videos and so I thought LibreElec would be great and simple, but because the PC is to old it is not.
I don't know if it is OK to ask here, but does anybody know some "Stand-Alone" Software (like LibreElec) that turns my Eee-PC into a simple MP3-Player ?
I've tried "Volumio 3" but that's not the thing I want.
If nobody knows, I will install WIN XP, WinAmp, Media Player Classic Home Cinema and maybe VLC Player 2.2.8 and everything will be OK like it was before LibreElec.
Thanks again for your help on this case.
I will keep LibreElec 9.2.6 on my Raspberry Pi 3B and my newer PC, because there it works fine without giving me any troubles.
What device are you running LE on?
I'm using an Asus Eee-PC R101(or 1001PX like the Manual says)
Kodi's source code for displaying subtitles is being rewritten for Kodi 20 Nexus.
I'm not sure how far along those have come already, but nothing much will be updated for Kodi 19 Matrix.
So if I got you right, you're saying the Bug about the ASS-Subtitles still exist in LibreElec 10.0.1 ?
So I got another Problem with LibreElec 10.0.1
I've got a lot of Anime-Movies in the MKV-Container-Format.
They all have internal Subtitles in the *.ASS Format.
Problem: These Subtitles didn't show on the Screen.
In
Settings -> Player -> Language I set the "Prefert Subtitle Language" to "English"
and "Subtitle Position on Screen" to "Fixed" (changed this Setting doesn't help)
In Settings -> System -> Display -> General I tried different Screen-Resolutions but the Subtitles won't show up.
During Playback, pressing the Key "T" on the Keyboard I've got the Message "Subtitles disabled" or "Subtitles - English subs"(but the Subs aren't shown)
I read about the Problem that *.ASS Subtitles aren't shown in Version 9.95.2 of LibreElec but I though this Problem was fixed in Version 10.0.1
By the Way: External Subtitles in *.SRT Format work fine for me.
@CvH
Thanks,
found the Problem
Settings -> Services -> Control -> Allow remote control via HTTP
was set "OFF" - I changed it to "ON" and now it works fine.
couldn't you ?!
No, I couldn't
I didn't give me some choice, the Backup-File is put in the "Backup-Folder on the LibreElec-Installation by deafult and can't get changed (maybe if I edit some Config-File but not in the Programm)
So I installed LibreElec 10.0.1 on my Asus Eee-PC an now I want to control it with the "Yatse" Remote Controll App on my Smartphone.
I set up LibreElec the way it is described her:
under "Kodi Crypton /Leia /Matrix"
But when I want to connect "Yatse" to my LibreElec-Installation it didn't find any host.
When I put in the IP-Adress (192.XXX.XXX.XX) and the Port (8080) by hand, I got this message:
java.net.ConnectionException: Failed to connect to /
192.XXX.XXX.XX:8080
Cause: java.net.ConnectException: failed to
connect to / 192.XXX.XXX.XX (port 8080) from /
192.XXX.XXX.XX (port 41716) after 5000ms:
isConnect failed: ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)
Explanation: Instead of XXX it showed the right IP-Adress of my Eee-Pc and my Smartphone in the WLAN.
So what's wrong ? Why did it connect to LibreElec ?
The WLAN is working fine, LibreElec is shown in the Explorer (under "Network) on my Windows-PC and from there I have access to all the Folders (like "Pictures, Music, Videos) on the Eee-PC.
The other strange thing is that Yatse connects to the LibreElec 9.2.8 installation on my Raspberry Pi 3 without any Problems.
I guess it should go like this:
- create a backup [1] with LE config tool/addon on the stick
- pull off the stick
- install the ssd and on it LE
- plug in the stick
Thanks for your Answer,
but how do I "create a backup [1] with LE config tool/addon on the stick" ?
Which Addon do I need ?
I found a simple Solution:
In the System (Settings)-Menu I go to
LibreElec -> System -> Backup -> Create System and Kodi Backup and create a Backup-File
This Backup is a *.Tar File, which is saved in the "Backup"-Folder
Then I go to my Windows-PC, open the Windows-Explorer, select "Network" and it shows me my LibreElec-Installation.
I go to the Backup-Folder and copy the Backup *.Tar-File onto my USB-Stick.
Later, after I had installed the new Version on the SSD I simply copy the File back from the USB-Stick to the "Backup"-Folder, using the Windows-Explorer again.
There is also a Solution where you use the LibreElec File manager, so you don't need another PC, just look here:
And to the Recalbox-Developers:
For me, a "Backup" is a way to restore my System when it had been crashed.
A "Backup" is stored in a save Place (and not on the same Drive of the System you want to Backup) until you need it to restore your System.
So how can I restore the system (Settings), when my HDD, SDD or USB-Stick is damaged, I don't have access to it (and my Backup) anymore and must make a fresh Install ?
I find it stupid to make a "Backup" on the same Drive my System is on.
When I use
LibreElec -> System -> Backup -> Create System and Kodi Backup
why is the Backup-File only going to the "Backup"-Folder, and why can 't I decide where I want to put my Backup (for example maybe an USB-Stick) so that I can keep it at a save place ?
Question:
Is there a simple way to export the settings of 10.0.1 directly to an USB-Stick and then import it back to a new Installation ?
In Detail:
I'm running 10.0.1 from an USB-Stick on my PC.
Now I want to put a SSD inside my Computer an run in from there.
So I want to export only the LibreElec-Settings from the USB-Stick Version directly to another USB-Stick,
remove the LibreElec USB-Stick,
install the SSD into the PC,
make a fresh Install of LibreElec 10.0.1 on the SSD
and then import the saved Settings from the USB-Stick into the LibreElec 10.0.1 Version installed on the SSD.
Nothing will change except the Fact that LibreElec now will run on the same Computer from a SSD and not from an USB-Stick
TV: Samsung PS42C450B1W (or something close, not sure, will check tomorrow, max resolution 1920x1080@60Hz)
After installing noticed that I have wrong ratio, everything is fine in horizontal axis but short in vertical. In TV settings set Be the size of screen, in Kodi 1920x1080 and it looks like 1024x768.
I've checked and the Panel of your Samsung PS42C450B1W has a native Resolution of 1024x768 AND NOT 1920x1080 !
Please check the manual of your TV for yourself !
So the TV is "HD-Ready" and NOT "Full HD".
The TV can show 1920x1080 but it will downscale it to 1024x768.
Please try and set the Resolution in LibreElec/Kodi to 1024x768 and tell us if the Problem still exist.
It's not a typo, and please stop hijacking threads with advice if you don't actually know the answer.
Yes, Mister "I am the King here and I know all" !
What's wrong with you ?
Didn't you understand "…but I can be wrong" ?
I noticed that you can't stand any criticism (It's never your fault and the people here that got problems and asking questions are all to stupid to use you're "Excellent piece of Software") and that you want to run this board alone with your pals "Da Flex" and "Klojum".
You're absolutely not interested in other people who want to help.
I though this is a board where people can share their opinion and help each other, but I guess I'm wrong.
Please delete my Account so that I can never show up here and bother you again !
What does the D do? Some how I thought it would force DVI mode. I had tried it before, but I will try again with the D, without the case and report back.
I think it's a typo, it must be "P" for "Progressive", but I can be wrong
So it's 1920x1080 (Resolution) @ 60Hz Progessive
Sorry,
for your first Question I got no Answer (because I'm not an Expert on such Things) but for your second Problem I suggest this Add-On
Add-on:Keymap Editor - Official Kodi Wiki
I'm using it myselft to remap the Keys of my Remote Control
Sorry to ask stupid question but:
1. Did you remove the Raspberry Pi from the Argon One V2 Case ?
2. Did you use the correct HDMI-Port of the Raspberry ?
It's the one near the USB-C Power Supply
3. Did you use any adapter from Micro-HDMI to HDMI like this
or did you use a Cabel like this
https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/micro…d-hdmi-a-cable/ ?
Kodi menu - Settings - Media - General
Ok, thanks, found it.
I can't rember that I had to enable this in LibreElec 9.2.8 (was it enabled by default ?) so I didn't know where to find this Option.
Do you have the option "Allow file renaming and deletion" enabled in LE 10 as well ?
It seems I don't have.
Where did I find this Option in LE 10 ?
