Tested on my Hades Canyon NUC, but the PRIME Decoding had to be disabled otherwise videos played with a blank screen.
Otherwise good though.
Am I right in saying if you don't use the drm_prime codec you won't be decoding HDR files ?

Everybody loves smp !!
ahh asrock...never again
Anywhos, it's a very new cpu ymmv with SMPs build. He would know.
But! without going in to too much detail you could try adding:
echo "options i915 force_probe=4c8a
" >> /etc/modprobe.d/i915-fingerscrossed.conf
and reboot to see if that works.
Below is my experience, links contain info of cpu,gpu etc
I have successfully tried LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-devel-20210524004323-f9d2c33-INTELGFX.img on:
2 x Intel® NUC 11 Performance kit - NUC11PAKi5 Product Specifications
1 x Intel® NUC Kit NUC7PJYH Product Specifications
and unsuccessfully on:
1 x Intel® NUC 8 Mainstream-G mini PC (NUC8i5INH) Product Specifications (has amd radeon)
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-devel-20210601032257-86a07cd-AMDGFX.img
unsuccessfully on:
1 x Intel® NUC 8 Mainstream-G mini PC (NUC8i5INH) Product Specifications (has amd radeon)
black screen for both images even after fiddling with drmprime options
More easy: use one stick and type run once on syslinux boot prompt.
cool mate, didn't know that one
Switch PRIME Render Method to EGL.
tried to do that but there is no option under player section to do this. On your intel build there is.
i tried changing:
guisettings.xml: <setting id="videoplayer.useprimerenderer" default="true">1</setting>
from 0 to 1 but there was still a black screen
I did delete the folder ".kodi" after updating and rebooted. Maybe that was not enough.
just grab 2 usb sticks. use the custom libreelec installer from their download page and install SMP's image on one. boot with both inserted and install on the other. Easy
i copied over the userdata/* files (smashed for quick testing but ugly) to SMP's build but from what i can see the DB structure is different/ in a diff location along with other settings from v9 to v10.
Wow, hey thanks mate, appreciate it
Well it booted... but unfortunately there was just a black screen when trying to play HDR content. Any content for that matter, i tried various files. Black screen, audio was fine.
errors like : ERROR <general>: CBaseRenderer::GetShaderFormat - unsupported format 181
whatever that means
Anywhos I attached the logs in case you are curious of what happened (both standard and debug). It's a tarball but I had to rename it with a zip extension due to adding attachment constraints of the forum.
( mv kodi-64-10.0-devel-20210601032257-86a07cd-LOGS.tgz.zip kodi-64-10.0-devel-20210601032257-86a07cd-LOGS.tgz )
ill try the intel build (LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-devel-20210524004323-f9d2c33.img.gz) when the boss stops using the tv with the nuc with intel graphics.
Happy to report back with outcome and logs if that helps you in some way/you're curious. Just let me know.
thanks again for providing that build for me.
Update:
20210524004323-f9d2c33 build works on intel nuc 7pjyh (Intel® NUC Kit NUC7PJYH Product Specifications) on sony x8000h tv.
Cheers,
oops sorry i missed that. no radeon yet.
I'll go try another nuc with intel integrated graphics.
Thanks
Hi guys,
i downloaded LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-devel-20210524004323-f9d2c33.img.gz?dl=1 by SMP from Intel true 10bits/HEVC/HDR support... ? but it would not boot on my bxnuc8i5inhja4 (has radeon 540X).
Can you provide another build with HDR support I can try.
Thank you.
