My NUC7i3BNH plays HD-Audio to my Denon amp just fine.
Maybe "sync playback to display" be chosen, the audio isn't real passthrough.
No it isn’t. That post was not correct.
Have you set your video output to sync with input rate? This must be done for DTS pass-through.
if "sync playback to display" be chosen, VideoPlayer won't use passthrough audio.
Hm, strange.
In general the rest of the hardware is ok. Suddenly I took my RPi4 (which works normally as a small server) and installed LibreElec on it.
DTS-HD MA is working without problems.
On my NUC7i3BNH I tried also to change the cable. The HDMI firmware is also up-to-date
Believe me, I've tried many NUCs, such as nuc7i7bnh, nuc7pjyh, nuc11pahi7, nuc11takc
nuc7i7bnh, nuc11pahi7 hdmi from DP, can't play hd audio by passtrough , nuc7pjyh, nuc11takc hdmi is origin, can play hd audio by passtrough.
DTS-HD MA can work on the hdmi by origin from intel, NUC's hdmi is from DP, so can't play it.
Good! I can use it on PN41.
Would you please upgrade the kernel from 5.14.14 to 5.15. So I can use it on my PN41. Thanks.
kernel 5.15 can be used by pn41. 20211113 and after.
Sure you can. Just select the correct disk device when you are running the installer.
LibreELEC runs from a USB stick as well, not as installer but as a Kodi-installed device.First things first.
Can’t install on usb stick this ver. LE 9.2.4 is good at usb. You should try it first.
And dts-hd trueHD Passthrogh still no sound.
To correct it, it is not possible to install it on the USB port, but it can be installed on the hard disk
Today I want to install nightly-20200820 on nuc8i3cysm.
But it can’t be installed. I noticed the use of the new kernel 5.8.
With your help, I installed libreelec on NUC8i7hvk and ran smoothly. Now there is another problem,DTS-hd and trueHD passthrough is silent, no sound.
Thanks!I disable the Intel iGP , it worked on libreelec.
Hello!
You can try a nightly build from Milhouse, maybe the GPU is supported there.
Regards
Nicolas
thank you for answer, but the milhouse can't supported yet.Is there any other way to support it?
How to install libreelec on my NUC8i7HVK.
When I installed, "failed to Xorg"
AMD vega gpu can't be supported?
