rc_maps.cfg are equals

rc_keymaps folders in /usr/lib/udev/rc_keymaps , rc6_mce.toml and libreelec_multi.toml files are equals

Since several nightly builds i'm experiencing mce remote issue

Remote mce act many times as i press two times same key

example : i have a key to switch between two audio profile, tv and avr, i press once and insted of to switch to profile avr it switch to avr and after to tv as i press key two times

example: also navigate in menù it's impossibile cause i can't select the right menu item

i can't rever back to older build to investigate when problem start cause on Index of / there aren't old builds

I have a nuc N3150 (braswell) with a tv hdmi 1.3 and an avr hdmi 1.4 (denon )

I want to change cause with this setup i have many blackscreen (handshake ? ) issue during refresh rate change

tried solution like forcing custom edid (with forced 8 bpc and forcing inteface) but only solution is to change hdmi input from remote tv

Tried via hardware with dr hdmi...no way

Could someone with a more recent avr (hdmi 2.0 ) and a more recent nuc confirm that doesn't have this bug ?

I want a confirm please before spend other moneys

mmh i do some reverse engineering

deleted edid via command getedid delete

without edid i verified via dmseg that bpc is always set to 8bpc (several restart with avr on or off)

Verified during black screen problem that bpc was 8 (via denon menu)

Found out that if i switch hdmi via remote tv (hdmi1>hdmi2>hdmi1) kodi gui reappear

so seems that my problem is not due to bpc bug

i'm using Milhouse Intel nightly build 19 and for several plugin only need to edit addon xml if already ready for python 3

Amazon vod , audio script profiles, aeon nox kodi for example just need to edit addon.xml

Problem : with autoframerate switch I get black screen on start or stop of a film

Denon x2000 HDMI 1.4

Tv Panasonic vt60

HDMI cable expensive and tried other cable

Beebox Intel n3150 but I didn't remember if Chromebox had this problem

Read somewhere that the problem is an hardware bug of Denon

Solution tried:

Captured edid

Modify edid to force 8bit

Checked with dmseg that bpc was set to 8

Checked via avr that bpc is 8

Still have problem so cause is not waf compliant I set gui to 24 and leave autoframerate switch on

Probably not a good solution but is the best solution until I will change my avr

Seems to be cause edid.cpio contains newedid.bin parameter

i followed manual guide

Custom EDID [LibreELEC.wiki] from point

Next a cpio archive file will be created which will be loaded at boot: 

to create a new edid.cpio

but some commands give me error

at Search for “extlinux.conf” or “syslinux.cfg” and edit it. Only one of them is available.

nano -w /flash/syslinux.cfg

seems that the parameter -w doesn't exist cause it ask to check the valid parameter for nano

I edited my edid file to drop 10 and 12 bit and avoid black screen issue with Intel graphic card and denon avr

Original edid was created using getedid script, i edited edid file with 8 bit flag

And now what are the steps ? i suppose that i must edit also edid.cpio file and is not enough to overwrite edid.bin file in /storage/.config/firmware/edid

Btw unlucky this patch didn't solve broadwell/braswell refresh rate issue (black screen)

I know that this was a patch only for Gemini but "hope is the last to die"

Also for me sky42 and milhouse thank for your hard work
