have you ever considered to press the fn keys before you press F1? What is the actual model and brand of the keyboard? If you have a problem with your car do you tell the mechanic? It's blue?
I have pressed the FN key before pressinng the F1 key but nothing happens.
The problem was the hotkey. The 'alt' button was defined as a hotkey.
What kind of keyboard do you use? Does it use some "fn" keys too...?

I have download a windows version from downloads – LibreELEC
My subtitles (same name as the video) are in the same folder as the video I'm playing. But this is not the issue.
When streaming a movie, I can download a subtitle from opensubtitles.org. But when I want to use my own subtitle, I want to select this subtitle via the option "Browse for subtitle". When I pick this option the program freezes. (in windows but also in my raspberry PI)
In LibreELEC 9.0 (Windows version and Raspberry version) the system will hang when browsing a external subtitle
