    Release v0.0.5 Alpha · RPCS3/rpcs3 · GitHub

    RPCS3 - Compatibility List

    Well version v0.0.5 Alpha (!) so are there any popular games that really works well? I've played around with it in the past but to run ps3 games you would need a huge amount of space, probably a high end spec CPU and a decent GPU so imho it's a waste of time right now /shrug

    Well there is a patch WIP for the VIM and other systems but I'm not sure if it will work for 3.14 something since this kernel is basically dead.

    Well i have a pretty decent system wich can handle it. Space is not a problem because i linked the storage\roms folder to a NAS share. But i will play around with it and try to add it myself.

    Docker is broken since kernel 4.19 so until now there is no solution for this. I already updated the Docker addon to 18.06.1 and still hangs. Same goes for 18.09.1-beta so.... /shrug You can update your builds but read the notes for each build if you have to delete a config file first because I included some new functions.

    Ok thats to bad... not really a problem as a quick reboot is a (temp) workaround. How can i update to a new build then ?

    You don't have to install WADs manually:

    About the 50Hz stuff you have to set this for Wii & GC in separate menus and most GC games will still ask you at start how you want to run them.

    A nice... didnt know that.

    In dolpin i have the option "Enable PAL60 wich is enabled"...

    Potential bug:

    i noticed that when running pcsx2 it doesnt shutdown with alt f4 or alt esc. Alt ESC bring me to the pcsx2 menu, i have to manualy pick exit (or ctrl - Q) via the menu and the screen stays black. Or Alt-F4 followed by another Alt- F4 then the screen also stays black.

    When i type in terminal: "/usr/bin kodifreeze.sh unfreeze" kodi shows again. but pcsx2 fails to start after this, i have to reboot the os before it starts working again.

    So i guess kodi unfreeze isnt working properly or the pcsx2 docker container doesnt shutdown.. if it is supose to shutdown when you exit an game ?

    build info:

    Kodi (18.0-RC1 Git:18.0rc1-Leia). Platform: Linux x86 64-bit

    Running on LibreELEC (5schatten): RR-201848-acf6c02 9.0, kernel: Linux x86 64-bit version 4.19.4

    I added pcsx2.log (log file right after blackscreen) and pcsx2-2.log (log file after pcsx2 exit, manually unfreeze kodi and try to start a pcsx2 game again)

    Another question, can i update to a new build (i saw you released RC2a) ? or do i have to do a clean install for this ?. I dont see info on this in the FAQ.

    Which emulator do you use? lr-dolphin (Retroarch) or Dolphin standalone? Since you refer to a User directory I guess lr-dolphin so delete the retroarch-core-options.cfg file in your Retroarch config directory.

    Dolphin standalone: i fixed it by installing the Wiii System Menu WAD, start the Menu and in settings you can then change it to 60 HZ under Screen settings.

    How to "System menu": How to get a fully working Wii Menu..

    NUS Downloader - WiiBrew

    I Used : v48x (4.2x) (latest didnt seem to work)

    Does anyone know where "game setup" files are stored. With dolphin in the game "Mario Kart" i accedently selected 50 HZ (should have selected 60 hz). But now i dont get that question anymore and now the game is al laggy.

    When you start the game for the first time you get a question if you want to set display to 50 hz or 60. Now when i start the game it keep telling thet it runs in 50 hz and i have to go to the wii menu to change it, but this crashes the game..

    i already delete the folder: /storage/roms/wii/User but that doenst help.

    Well sysdedault is normally the analog output so makes no sense if you use the S/PDIF because that would normally be the 3,5mm audio jack.

    Code
    sysdefault:CARD=PCH
    HDA Intel PCH, ALC892 Analog

    Anyway if it works /shrug

    Yes: S/DPIF as output to an Logitech Z5500 5.1

    Well Libreelec Remix 9.0 is running in a VM on Proxmox. Then i passthrough GPU (Intel HDA), onboard sound and USB's to that VM.

    maby passtrough is screwing things up.

    It works so im happy.

    Please just enter the stuff I mention ;) At default the emulators & frontends use ALSA so it doesn't matter what PulseAudio detects or not. You can however set PulseAudio as backend in the advanced.conf Kodi normally lists ALSA devices & only uses PA for Bluetooth stuff.

    Well you want use your iec958:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 aka S/PDIF as sound output? Not HDMI or something?

    Yes: S/DPIF

    Problem solved, i had to add this in asound.conf:

    pcm.!default {

    type plug

    slave.pcm {

    @func getenv

    vars [ ALSAPCM ]

    # Device name can be found using the command 'aplay -L'

    default "sysdefault:CARD=PCH"

    }

    }

    Thnx for your suport !!!

    Ok, my mistake i did not understand that, thnks for clearing that up.

    See attachments for output of aplay -L and the 2 config files. I renamed .conf to .txt so i can upload them here.

    [UPDATE]: i reverted the changes made in asound.conf and advanced.conf to set audio autoconfig.

    when i do in terminal:

    Command: #systemctl stop kodi

    Command: #pactl list short sinks:

    Result: 1 librespot_sink module-null-sink.c s16le 2ch 44100Hz SUSPENDED

    Command #pactl load-module module-udev-detect:

    Result: 18 (dont know what this means)

    Command: #pactl list short sinks

    Result:

    1 librespot_sink module-null-sink.c s16le 2ch 44100Hz SUSPENDED

    2 alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.iec958-stereo module-alsa-card.c s16le 2ch 44100Hz IDLE

    (So i guess the audio device (Pulse ?) is released by kodi now or something)

    Command: dolphin.start

    When i manualy start dolphin and set it to "Pulse" as the Audio Backend, it now starts the game with sound. When i set it to ALSA it crashes again.

    When i set it to pulse without the steps mentioned above dolphin crashes... so maby kodi doesnt release the sound device or something.

    set autoconfig to false in \\your-device\Configfiles\rr-config\advanced.conf then get a list of your output devices by entering aplay -L in a terminal & finally add this device to your asound.conf

    Retroarch uses lr-dolphin which has nothing to do with standalone Dolphin which you start in Emulationstation. Most of the standalone emulators rely on SDL for audio output so if the ALSA backend is not configured correct they won't work.

    Thnx for reply.

    I configured sound and set it to my sound device, same problem. Its stuck in the wii (White) starting screen where it shows you the controller.

    ----------------

    So i guess its an retroarch issue or broken config file.

    again when i start dolphin manual --> /bin/dolphin.start it works (without sound)

    First of all thank you very much for this build many emulators work out of the box wich is great. Dolphin is not starting true retroarch. But when i start dolphin manually with "/bin/dolphin.start" and i confugure sound (Audio Backend) to "No Audio Output" it start the game (also playable), but when i set it to ALSA it crashes (return to kodi home screen) or screen stays black

    Dolphin.log says:

    Code

    Numeric mode unsupported in the posix collation implementation

    Sound is working in Kodi (and other emulators like snes n64). I did not alter asound.conf, so i guess im using the autoconfig.

    any ideas on how to analyse this problem ?
