I have a 2TB USB HDD attached to my chromebox, but when LE shutsdown it just cuts power to the HDD. Will this damage it or does it need to spindown first? It makes a noise that doesnt sound to good for the HDD. If it needs to spindown any advice on how to do it from LE?

Ill switch to debug before i goto bed tonight so should have a full debug log in the morning to post, also ill add screenshot where it shows tvheadend backend having very little epg after reboot. Kodi shows a full epg but thats due to being stored in a database. Impossible to set recording if there is no epg in tvheadend.

google openelec vpn manager latest version is 1.5, should be what your looking for

Not sure what openvpn would have to do with this at all. Can I check some info here. my VPN would go into tun0, and I would need to add a rule to the iptables which routed traffic for 85.233.160.22 to eth0 which would bypass my VPN. The Ip address is the iplayer website.

Is anyone else having a problem with tvheadend deleting its epg on reboot? I have a reboot set via cron at 6 am. The epg gets deleted on that reboot which the makes the timers and recording go wrong unless i rescan the epg everytime. Im using the 4.2 version which comes libreelec.

Does anyone have a working sickrage manager that works with libreelec? I`ve seen two on the kodi forums which appear to work fine until you try to change tv show with the context menu. For example change the status of a season from skipped to wanted. It works via the web-interface but fails on the kodi addon.

I have openvpn running on my chroebox with pia VPN. The BBC iPlayer cant be reached due to the VPN running. Is there anything I can do to reroute so it doesnt use my vpn. This is due to geo-restrictions but im the uk. The ITV player addon is another addon that isnt working under pia. I believe I need to add some rules to the iptables, but i could be wrong.

I still cant gat any sound from a chromebox. Ive tried hw:0,0 and tried hw:0,3 both have zero sound.

i know you dont support auto-update but I use it to let me know that a new verion of libreelec is out. Normally I`ll install your build and update it and the notice goes away, this latest version is the first time ive ever had it tell me there is an update even when its been updated.

Ive swapped skins now. Xperience1080 on the raspberry and LE is fine. Wasnt sure if it was a skin issue or a x64 issue as nobody with the error says what OS they`re using.

OK then can you give me an example of where id find this information or an addon that i can use as an example? Everything im finding is years old or been removed. I cant find anything in libreelec forums or the wiki. Ive searched the Openelec forums and wiki, the wiki page has been removed and the forums are full of old information thats out of date.

Im not reinventing the wheel. There is no guide to building addons for either Openelec or Libreelec. Installing an old broken addon wont get anyone any closer to being able to build working addons for libreelec.

Is the a new guide for building addons for LE? Im looking at building dolphin 5.0 for LE. Chemster built the dolphin emu over in the openelec forums. Ive never compiled an addon before. Ive looked for a tutorial but cant find a recent one. Any help would be great.

Ive set up a cron for a reboot at 6 am each day. Ive discovered this morning that the box is going into a reboot loop for exactly 1 hour. Ive got the kodi log here 06:58:27 T:140486996547648 NOTICE: special://profile/ is mapped to: special: - Pastebin.com I only noticed this this morning but it shows the last reboot before it stopped at 7 am.

My cron looks like this:
* 6 * * * reboot

My chromebox is rebooting at 6 am like expected. im bothered about this damaging my hard drive as its spinning up and down for an hour for no reason.
