I have a 2TB USB HDD attached to my chromebox, but when LE shutsdown it just cuts power to the HDD. Will this damage it or does it need to spindown first? It makes a noise that doesnt sound to good for the HDD. If it needs to spindown any advice on how to do it from LE?
