With 007 you get support for modern DVB drivers at S905, so this should be fixed soon.
I have sadly no build at hand that you could try.

Asrock Q1900M
freezes completely
Intel J1900 is know as broken due Intel fu up the Kernel drivers for power saving
You need to deactivate the c-states at the bios to fix the random freezes.

if you are interested pls change it here and create an pull request

If i recall correctly there are LE8.2 builds with kernel 4.8 here at the forum.

if I'm correct, the additional drivers are included in LE 9.x versions?
yes they are now at the image
The S960 has still an unresolved problem, no patches are there yet. So if you can stay at something with Kernel 4.8 or older.

should be already supported as it is basically like a NUC

If a better way please let me know.
do nothing as we have a patch that fixes that already at the git linux-999.21-intel_idle-disable-c6n-and-c6s-on-bay-trail.patch
this should work and you don't need it
otherwise have a look here Compile [LibreELEC.wiki]
I want to change LibreELEC and Kodi default splash screens
you can also disable the kodi splash if this helps, otherwise you need to create an patch with the new background
for LE see LE/distributions/LibreELEC

i would like to build with libreelec official build as well
git clone https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv.git
cd LibreELEC.tv
PROJECT=Amlogic DEVICE=S905 ARCH=arm make image

If it doesn't happen at LE and CE then try your luck at kodi forum.
Possible an kodi bug then?
-
Pls try again and post the service.log from the tvheadend userdata folder.

Its basically the same (other kernel, different drivers etc....) and of course LE9.

There is also an official S905 build at the current LE Master that builds just fine !
PROJECT=Amlogic DEVICE=S905 ARCH=arm make image
no need to waste time at some "copied over" whatever at an outdated build
