a media player with an old eebox b202
I had similar hardware, to summarize it, just don't use it.
It was very low end 12 years ago, and it is even more low low low end these days. It has basically no Linux support (media playback wise) and even at Windows you get barley Youtube working.
Get a raspberry or some used, for example, Lenovo ThinkCentre M710Q for ~100€.
They support todays media standards and the Lenovo for example can easily run everything from Windows 11 to any Linux.

I see that since we switchted to gbm, additionally I have other variations with playback increased and audio drop out.
I am not sure who to blame, I guess kodi - but not sure.
vhgroup what HW do you use ?
-
No sign yet, the same problem exist at every platform (for LE its everything) that is not using legacy playback approaches.
Raspberry Pi 4 with Libreelec v19 / Kodi Matrix, no grabber is working · Issue #983 · hyperion-project/hyperion.ngI am using the latest Testbuild from Milhouse from here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=343068 I cant get the framebuffer-grabber nor anything else to…github.comCurrently external grabbers might be the way to go.

Not sure if this helps but you can enter uptime at SSH to see the current uptime sinde the last boot/reboot.
-
Hyperion doesn't support the recent "driver" for the RPi so this won't work anymore.
Otherwise you can upgrade but likely not full automatic.
Stop kodi and copy over the /storage/.kodi/ folder to the new RPi4 install and reboot - that can work.

will it be enough to get 4k?
no pcie
just saying
also J4005 is very low end and already 2018
J4125 is more recent but its pricewise insane - the market is still a mess
-
Like 20 times slower!
can you try to add this to the advancedsettings.xml /storage/.kodi/userdata/advancedsettings.xml
we limit the fanart to 720p at the RPi because it eats a lot CPU time while scaping etc, same we got at our AML builds too so I guess this is something that could improve it

is there a time schedule?
early february ish (depending at Kodi release)
Will 3D Movies be working with 10.0.2 and RPi4?
not yet
-
it is possible but the RPi is rather low end so you we are likely talking about days to encode a single file
currently we don't ship the x265 encoder at arm because its rather useless

dmesg | paste and post the url that outputs
-
you can copy over the config that should work, there are cases it does not work
manually copy over just the channel and transponder configs should work
-
dmesg | paste and post the url that outputs
should be supported out of the box
-
it just updates as long you have a recent nightly
-
it is know broken for now, afaik the needed fixes are already merged just the rebuild of the addons is missing
i start it later today
-
I tried it with lubuntu
*buntu 21.10 ?
-
I am not able to get SMB on my NAS.
you are aware that you need to manually add the path at Kodi and that the "search for share" is not working at Kodi ? (that is a kodi bug)

I disagree with the statement to simply ignore NextPVR
its just to have a minimal setup working to begin with, multiple pvr clients can cause problems ontop
unfortunately abandoned
lack of sparetime
It worked like that before the update.
can only worked by chance
