Let's have a poll on which is the better box.
They both have the same S905 chip.

Been a while. See Link.
Thanks for the info. Seems like it is out of our hands.
The Beelink Miii should run as well as a Miii ii shouldn't it. The only difference is the x.
Hi all,
I'm now a huge new fan of LibreELEC and get it running on whatever I can. I have however bought a Beelink Miii ii with the S905X chip as it turns out this was a mistake because the wifi chip is not supported. (I have not received it yet in the mail)
I am just wondering if you guys think the Aigale WiFi chips will ever be supported or should I send the box back??
Thoughts??
Mine is the s905 mate. and wifi works spot on.
Would the 2.4 / 5 g wifi of the s905x be better than the 2.4 g wifi of the S905?
Also is the wifi on the S905 better compared to other boxes?
I'm looking for the box with the best wifi or one with good wifi.
Hi guys, just updated my Beelink Min MXiii via.img file and all is well except for the back button not working, but easily sorted with the Keymap Programme. It is very smooth.....many thanks Kszaq
Is yours the one with the s905 or the s905x. I just bought a s905x and I'm thinking the wifi isn't going to work
Hi there,
Is there LibreELEC for the Minix Neo X7
Thanks
Excuse me for the dumb question, but is it possible to update OTA? In the LibreELEC settings there is a section for checking for updates. What is that about?
Thanks that's awesome help. Next time I speak with him we will try that and I'll report back.
Does his box see any Wifi hosts/services? May be worth instructing your friend in how to grab a Samba log after rebooting. Make sure wifi is on. I can't help you myself as I'm too thick but Kszaq might, if he has time, be able to look at the logs and at least tell you if the Wifi is working correctly.
Sorry I can't help any further. Good luck!
EDIT: You could check: System/System/Internet access, and make sure "Internet connection bandwidth limitation" is set to off!
Is that in Android OS? Never mind I know it's LibreELEC
Thanks. It's not only the wifi it's the Ethernet as well. As it's installed from a SD card I have told him to check the Android Internet. Other than that maybe we will try a different build.
Hi all,
Sorry for interrupting the thread.
I have a question but I'm not sure if I have all the information on hand.
I have a friend in another country, whom I installed the HD18Q build 7.0.5 onto a SD CARD onto his plastic case MXQ box.
Everything seems fine. Remote works etc etc.
The very wierd thing is that it says that the Internet IS connected (we have an IP address) but we can't seem to get any speed at all. He has tried Ethernet and Wifi. Both the same. I can try to get more information. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be going on?
Thanks.
Your easiest option is to use one of these. Yes, Yatse is the best thing on Android, just love it.I could not find ANYTHING similar good on iOS, which is quite annoying.
I use XBMC touch for ipad and Sybu remote for iphone.
I find them both excellent.
Does the power button work?
Has this project been moved somewhere else? IIRC there have been download links on the first page and installation instructions but now they are all gone, I cannot find them anymore
The Hardware you quote is known to work.
But these boxes are not all the same as far as boards, internal memory, heat sinks, etc and Android software.
You will find some of these branded boxes have issues trying to flash LE so take what you want from that.
See the ones with branding names that other members have successfully run LE and you are good to go.Signature shows my box fits into the specs you're after but there are others.
The box I was going with was a VONTAR T95. Is this known to work well?
