Gass  jdww it seems that boot procedure is stalled if there is no working network connection in current nightly image. If board has ethernet connector, I suggest to connect it for now until issue is solved. If there is only wifi, there is possibility to manually add config for it over console but I'm not sure how to do that.

EDIT: Fix was just merged, next nightly image should boot normally. Actually this fix solves several issues.

What about output of journalctl? Anyway, there is one issue present in nightly image where boot is delayed for 25 seconds. How long did you leave it running?

BTW, next nightly will have Linux 5.9 and H6 DDR3 RAM init fix for some boards.

Yes, it will be part of Linux 5.9 update. It will be built-in, not a module, though.

None. Tanix TX6 board wasn't supported at the time 9.2 was branched. In any case, no Allwinner fixes were merged in 9.2 stable and no stable images are provided for Allwinner at this time. You can expect them with LibreELEC 10. For now, use master branch.

Yes, UART is mandatory for such problems. First you have to determine if U-Boot even runs (by monitoring UART). If so, there are additional steps that needs to be taken. But we'll discuss them once you do first step.

Systemd update caused some issues which should be fixed in new nightly image tomorrow. Can you test it once it's updated? Not sure if this is the cause of your issue or not, just a hunch.

AW actually caused big confusion here. Some H6xx chips are actually compatible with H6. I think they are denoted H60x. I guess H61x means slightly better than H6, but that means that software changes are needed.

No, they can't exist. SDK is not publicly released and there is no support for it in U-Boot nor in Linux kernel.

None. While H616 is very similar to H6, it has different (better) GPU, can actually use whole 4 GiB of RAM, has different DRAM controller and two ethernet controllers. Needless to say, it's not yet supported in mainline kernel. I'm working on it but it will take plenty of time.

Most other (cheap) H6 boxes won't work with Beelink GS1 image, but I can enable spdif easily. Currently I don't have Tanix TX6 with me, so I can't check if it really has spdif or not (promo websites say it has).

If driver for them ever lands in kernel, then yes. Will that happen? I don't know. We're talking here only about official support. In the past, there were community images which had out-of-tree Realtek driver(s), but I don't know their status.

I believe wifi connections issues are due to Python 3.8 update and usage of ancient python dbus libraries. See:

ilyaigpetrov  Gass  StaticallyLinked Kodi and LE settings addon were just updated, please re-try next nightly image. LE settings addon has some fixes in it, which may help, but can't say for sure. I'll check commit history to see what could cause that issue.

EDIT: If kernel is really ok, I would bet on Python update (from 3.7 to 3.8). LE settings addon has some fixes for that.

dmesg actually matters. Use ssh which you can enable in LE settings addon.

levitsky86 To be honest I don't use playback in background and don't care about that much. First of all, what lagging means? Is GUI rendered slower than when there is no video playback in the background? You should play a bit with different playback settings to see if there is a change. Also try videos with different fps.

There are several possibilities - GBM version of Kodi is currently lacking some features which may exhibit something like that but it could be also some driver problem or even HW capability. Hard to say anything.

lumpi you misinterpreted requirement. Only requirement is that display refresh rate is same or higher than video fps, ideally integer multiplier. If it's lower it means A/V sync issues, at least currently. This is known issue but nobody works on it actively.

Gass Can you check Linux version on the working image? Can you provide output of dmesg on newest image? I don't have this particular board, so I can't debug issue directly.

ilyaigpetrov OrangePi PC doesn't have integrated wifi. What kind of wifi dongle you're using? Regarding audio - I tested very latest build on my H3 board and HDMI audio works just fine. Note that there is zero common code for HDMI audio between A20 and H3 so I doubt it's same issue.

You don't need Armbian at all - not for first install, not for update. If you want to update, just copy update file or compressed image to /storage/.update and reboot.
