No audio on a mini PC

New to the forums, hello again!

Right, so I've got a HP Prodesk 400 G4,

Intel i3 8100

UHD 630

I have a really weird issue, where the audio will come out of the inbuilt speaker, but will not route through to my TV.

I'm having to use a DP to HDMI adapter, which does route audio through on my main PC, just not with Libreelec for some reason.

I've done some digging, but cannot figure out how to get it to route the audio through, I've tried the EDID config, tried a patch I found on here, with…

How to post a log (wiki)

1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
2. Restart Kodi
3. Replicate the problem
4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

On your TV RC switch to TV mode, and then back to AV mode. Does that make CEC work?

If it does, could you provide an RPi4 log after playing the same HDR source? Then we can compare.

My LE12 crash issues solved. Solution: Do not use Grab Fanart addon in LE12

I tried to get crash logs on two NUCs but none existed. The other logs show nothing abnormal prior to crashes.

However, I did notice entries from the GrabFanart addon script just before the crash. I did a search to see if anyone reported issues with that addon and there is a memory leak in recent Python releases due to unsupported code:

No typo, I was talking about my preferences in general.

Some RPi5 cases have internal wiring. They can adapt to full size HDMI, or increase the distance between USB-C and HDMI-0.

However, your new cable will do the trick.

CEC on the second HDMI port isn't officially supported. Personally I like those small adapters, because I prefer standard cables. Maybe it's smart to get a new RPi case to use HDMI-0.
