To my knowledge LE doesn't buffer to external drives to increase microSD lifetime, which is the default storage for most users.

Nope. You have to install LE 10.x from scratch.

I enabled log on the working monitor (hd not 4K)
Turned off.
Then connected to a "problematic" monitor
Power on.
Got the No Signal
Unplugged the RPI4 from the power supply.
Reconnected to the working monitor and to the power
And uploaded both the log and the crash log

I'm using the original cable of the RPI4,
and this cable is working fine with some monitors like the one on my living room.
But for some monitors (like on my friends monitor) I get the "no signal"

Is the monitor / TV on your living room 4K?
The reason is hard to tell without seeing a log file.
For a non-working monitor it would help to get the kodi.log after the test.
(if pastekodi (see below) doesn't work, you can also get it directly from microSD, and upload to PasteBin)
You have to activate debug logging on a working monitor first.
Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link -
It really happens randomly. I've seen it after minutes while downloading Widevine CDM. No user input during that time.
I'll have a look at my logs. If I find something, I'll post it here.

- Connect another PC (notebook) to your LE device by Ethernet cable (direct connection).
- Login by SSH, and execute cd .kodi/temp.
- Display the log by nano kodi.log.
- Copy & paste into PasteBin.
- Make sure PasteBin contains the complete kodi.log after the upload, otherwise create another PasteBin link for the rest.
It's also possible to copy kodi.log to your SSH terminal by SSH command (google it).

I have the same glitches on my RPi3B+ / LE 10.0.2. It's like a horizontal bar near the bottom of the GUI. This happens since LE 10.x. I think it's a small RPi video driver issue, not related to your TV.

Having a few problems over here: when i boot up LE and go straight into settings > audio, LE crashes and i have to do a hard shutdown.
If i play a file first, then go into settings, LE does not crash. Have you noticed this?
Also am trying LE with an asus stxII sound card and it works fine, also have a soundblaster card and LE does not produce any audio, the card is recognised but no audio at all.
Please open new threads on Bug Reports.
So am wanting to upload the log file, is this possible as the pc that LE is installed on does not have internet access, can i copy the log file to a flash drive and upload it from a different pc
Copy into PasteBin and post the resulting link.

Could be an HDMI cable issue. On 4K output devices, RPi4 fires a higher data rate, compared to RPi3. Some cables are unable to transmit such data rates, so the screen goes black. Always use an HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 cable with your RPi4.

The crash log doesn't provide enough info to understand the problem.

Very bad. LSPCon chips are a source of trouble.

I picked up a behringer in used condition for a tenner, good cheap experiment with good sound quality as you rightly stated.

What would your recommendation be for a good sound quality multichannel 5.1 interface via usb.
LE has to have the right driver, and we don't have a whitelist. Users with such hardware should answer here.
Search for fitting Linux drivers. In most cases LE is up-to-date with drivers, provided by a regular Linux kernel.

OK. As you can see, I've been moved the thread to Amlogic sub-forum. In our Amlogic download section you'll find this: Click!

Whats the name of the board, and which software is your current installation?

Guru reply: Very likely an LSPCon issue, because "DisplayPort" appears in the log. No solution, sorry.

The user from the link used the same NUC, and it worked for him. So either they use different LSPCon chips on the same NUC, or the old firmware worked, and they screwed something up later.
I can give you a link for LE 9.2.2, just in case you want to test...

You can also try to copy busybox from Raspberry Pi OS to LE.

Has asus rog strix z490f gaming motherboard with supreme fx s1220a codec for audio, and hdmi 1.4b
But if you still think an external audio solution is better then i will go with that.
The codec is optimized for 3D audio to provide a good gaming experience. That's not what you want. Buy the above audio interface. It's a steal for that money.
Buy studio speakers. They are also called nearfield monitors, because they will sound good on short distance. Studio speakers are usually active (own amp), and have balanced input to reduce electronic noise. If you never had studio speakers, these bad boys will blow you away.
Here is a short list of good studio speakers:
- everything from KRK (market leader, they also have white speakers)
- JBL 3 Series (best value for the money, also used by professionals on YouTube)
- Mackie MR Series (which I have on my desktop)
PS: If you want to keep your existing consumer speakers (unbalanced input), follow the advice from petediscrete .
