Running 7.1.1 which seems very stable compared. Strange.

Unlucky. That's me

I was having issues like that when i upgraded from 7.0.3.3c to 8.0.0b........... But when i done a fresh install of just 8.0.0b the issues went away completely.....
Never saw any issues with 8.0.0g apart from a little slow down and what seemed like lagging but again that has all completely gone away with 8.0.1a.So maybe try a fresh install of the latest OS You can back up your Kodi data with the BackUp Addon so you won't lose anything... It's worth a try
Thanks I'll give it a try!

Just crashed on the last release. Anything i can do to find out why? Video and sound stuck, looping audio.

Great. Thanks for the update. I was having a lot of crashing lately with 7.0.3.3c (not sure how to debug it) so updated to the latest version here.

Anyone experiencing front-end lockups? It happens randomly. Smb is still accessible.

with beta6, I had an issue last night, the audio and video froze, playing a 720p video file, then the screen went black, after that the box rebooted. MXQ red top. I will run the latest release and see if it happens again, then try get the logs posted here.

Is it like that everywhere you go in the menu or only on 'TV Shows'??TV Shows was just an example. It's visible everywhere I believe.

I took a screenshot of the font problem I mentioned earlier. You can see the white part of the text that shouldn't be there, this is just the home screen of the default skin. I don't know if it's a Kodi issue, a TV issue, or a problem with the box/build but here it is

Playback seems fine here so far with Beta6. Text on the stock skin can look a bit blurry depending on the character, not sure if it's isolated to device/TV.
-
Brilliant. Thanks for the update.

Cheers, very helpful post.
Just in case anyone else needs help, if you open a SSH session, type in the following command; installtointernalThanks
PaulThat is in the first post. Welcome.

Please try beta5a, should be fixed now.
It's working good now with Beta5a. Thanks for the quick fix.

Latest Beta5, AAC 48.0 kHz stereo audio is just noise. Red top MXQ. HDMI for audio.

That means your TV's implementation of CEC is not 100% up to spec. Look to see if there is a firmware update for your TV. Other than that you will have to wait for a fix for the Amlogic kernel...(Not going to happen )
It worked fine with Helix. Thanks for the help.

1. Install the new addon (tools.libcec-daemon-7.0.2.zip)
2. Put this line in autostart.sh :
3. Turn "off" the CEC control in System\Peripherals
4. Reboot
I've done this thanks. CEC still stops functioning not long after startup. Unless I did something wrong.

Have you tried Kszqa's LibCEC Daemon? It never shuts off...I have seen CEC use uptimes of a week with it.
Just a clean install of the latest LibreELEC. I noticed he's been working a lot on the CEC implementation, now we can change settings related to it in input devices. I guess since then it hasn't worked properly (here anyway). I was content on Helix for a while.
How do you go about using Kszqa's LibCEC Daemon?
