I have updated to LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.2.4.2-fix-lost-audio.tar but I am having issues with this build. Every time I restart my U9, it defaults to 2160p and 420 10bit. If I change it back to 1080p or play a 1080p video, I lose picture because it defaults to 1080p 420, 10bit and my screen has trouble with that. if I manually change to 444 10bit and stop and start kodi using ssh, everything is fine till I reboot.

So basically, my TV is having a problem with 1080p and 420 10bit output but not 2160p 420 10bit and it seems that this build defaults to 420 10bit output and sometimes resets the resolution to 2160p after a reboot of the box.

Went back to 8.2.4.1 and everything is back to normal.

I'll let you know of any issues if I encounter them but so far so good.

I also encountered random freezing issues on my Minix U9 (the whole box, not just Kodi). Had to revert back to 8.2.4-ff version for now.

These are daily builds so doubt you'll get any support for them.

I tested a LibreELEC 9.0 devel image (April 12) and I did not encounter the subtitle stutter either and OC working too (Minix U9 S912). Have not tested adamg's CoreELEC build though.

Still using 8.2.4 as my daily driver but 9.0 looking good.

Unfortunately that did not work with the same results.

Here are some logs, maybe they can help.

i used your 4kfix img.gz (fresh install on SD using Rufus) from your GitHub, since the tar doesn't work (seems corrupted, gives me an error when attempting to extract after putting it in the update folder and restarting).

Is there something I can do to test from my side? Just FYI, I'm connected to a 4K TV.

Was trying to test your build on my Minix U9-H (S912) but I get a frozen screen on OpenPHT logo (right when OpenPHT was supposed to boot after LibreELEC booted). Here is the log but I think it has to do with this error:

ERROR: AML: no rw on /sys/class/ppmgr/ppmgr_3d_mode

Samba works so I pulled the log but SSH was not enabled before the freeze so can't do much.

Was using this build:

Also tried to update a working 8.2.4 SD by updating it using the tar but the same on reboot.

wrxtasy There is minor tearing in the GUI with the new build but nothing major at all. I only notice it if there is some animation in the GUI.

For example I only see it if I enable "Use slide animations" in Estuary skin. If I disable it, I can barely see any tearing. All in all, a very minor thing compared to the fix for the stuttering issue.

I don't really use .srt subs a lot beside for some TV shows, and use PGS for movies mainly. I do however experience this issue when using Plex for Kodi addon. It might be because the way it has a different OSD overlay over Kodi, so most my media stutter every second (no dropped frames though in codecinfo) no matter if I use subtitles or not.

This issue has caused me to use PlexKodiConnect instead, which does not experience this issue with the same files on the same device.

This issue has only seemed to happen on my Minix U9 and not any other Kodi running device (Sony Android TV, Windows).
