It doesn't stop it from working though. Is there a way to disable the indicator?

I am using strictly anonymous on a windows 10 box that has GUEST enabled and has full control of the video share.

I found that I had to add that one line in the config (can't remember which at the moment) to enable the MCE remote to be recognized. It took care of it.

I think I was told that the icon (lightning bolt) appears when there's not enough power for the device?? It doesn't seem to do anything but flash, everything else is working fine. What is the issue here?
Thanks!

please read the release notes about smb changes, LibreELEC (Krypton) v8.1.2 BETA – LibreELEC
Thanks for the link Irusak. I will try this when I get home. Might I suggest that you include the above error in the text of that page so that people who are looking for a solution can more readily find it prior to posting here? This topic will help as well, I know. Thanks again!

I am working on setting up my second LibreElec on a raspbery pi. The first one is 8.0.2. The new one is 8.1.2 I believe. Anyhow I try to setup the source EXACTLY as I have it on the first one:
smb:\\kodi\tv
and it comes back with Operation Not Allowed.
Why? The share is located on a Windows 10 box and all my other Kodi installs (including the first rPi) is fine. What's new? What's causing this?
Thanks!

Thanks Hiassoft, I disabled lirc and now none of my buttons work on my remote. I have 8.0.2 running on my raspberrypi. Any thoughts?

I am sure this has been asked but I cannot find a definitive article. I have the IR receiver all setup and its kinda working but not all the MCE buttons on my remote work (back/play/etc). The numbers work, the arrows work, and some others. I am sure I have a faulty lircd.conf (I am trying the mceusb version). Has anyone gotten this to work properly? Any directions on how to go about making it function? I am a bit new to linux so you'll talk over my head quickly if you're not careful
Thanks!

I love LibreElec! Been using it on my pi 3 for a while now. I would like to see if I could get Hulu and/or Netflix working with it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Addons?? Which addon works best??
Thanks!

Doesn't sound very efficient. Especially if you have a hard drive attached. It would just spin forever.

When I press the POWER button on my remote and LibreElec it shuts down the Raspberry Pi (as expected) but I cannot press POWER to turn it back on. I assume this is because it is going into full power-off. Is there a way to change it to SUSPEND or SLEEP or whatever instead of fully shutting down so I can turn it back on via remote?

Three exclamation marks will do the job fine as well.Other than that, I'd say it's a 1st World Problem for the time being.
Ehh.. How about disabling GUI sounds? Does that work for CEC messageboxes?
Never tried it myself.
3 exclamation marks are not enough according to my wife. I asked. She wanted many more than I originally put in there but thanks for taking the time to edit that lmfao.I'll try disabling gui sounds.

It's not a bug, it's a feature I guess. A feature that is shown only a couple of seconds...AFAIK, it cannot be turned off at this time. It's more a Kodi question anyway. Ask them your question.
Ok, its 3am and I slide into bed next to my wife. Turn on my TV to watch something and BEEEEEEPPPY BLEEEEEEPY BLEEEPY!!! [ MOD EDIT ]
Very annoying to wake her up for this notification. I have to try to remember to quickly hit mute before that has a chance to do its thing. Not sure who thought this wife-waker would be a great feature to add to this otherwise great piece of software but maybe he should make some adjustments after he/she sobers up. I'm just say'n...

I cannot seem to find a way to turn off the Pulse Eight annoying notification each time my Raspberry Pi is booted. Can someone help?

Seems to have settled down a bit. This is my advancedsettings.xml:
---------advancedsettings.xml--------------
<advancedsettings>
<remotedelay>3</remotedelay>
<remoterepeat>2501</remoterepeat>
</advancedsettings> -
I have setup 2 pi/3 boxes with Libreelec. I wired my own remote IR receiver and added the statements necessary to the config.txt to enable the ir remote.
The remote works but when I hit <down> once it repeats numerous times. When I hit any button, it seems to repeat numerous times. I've added
<advancedsettings>
<remoterepeat> 2500 </remoterepeat>
</advancedsettings>to the advancedsettings.xml file and it made no difference. Someone suggested adding lines to the peripherals.xml but nobody explained how to make this file writeable.
Can someone help here?
Thanks!s

Ok I plugged it into a 2.5A adapter (from my tablet) and the little color box is still there. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the response. Hopefully the fight will begin at some point. In the mean time, I'm fine with it
