ok damn. That was it probably. Somehow I have to use 192.168.0.28 instead of 192.168.188.32. Don’t know why but thank you very much !
you should read the service pages from AVM or your manuals regarding IP-Adresses of "Gast-(W)LAN".
Further I guess it's unnessary to setup "Portfreigaben".
ssh should do OOB.
on my 7590 I don't need to setup Portfreigaben to reach my LE via ssh.
- but it's some years ago that I was running a 7390 -
However, the HDMI is on a PCI-Express video card so no I don't have any option in BIOS to disable that.
A shot in the wild:
maybe there is module parameter for your graphic card driver (radeon ?) to shut HDMI audio off ?
in case of module radeon: "modinfo radeon" will show all available parameter
dmesg -w
tail -f ~/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
and simultaneously try to play the *.flac
Q.:
is LE able to decode flac at all ?
- I'm unsure -
maybe !
in the tar is a directory .kodi and there in a dir. temp and there in the kodi.log.
complete path: /storage/.kodi/temp/
in kodi.log you should find the LE Version (first lines)
Hello
I'm searching for NUC (or particularly: NUC_8i3) owners to exchange some experience.
I'm owning my i8-Nuc for ~3 month and see every ~60s recuring artefacts (?) mostly in the moving part of a picture watching Sat-TV.
I also saw crashes with LE 9.2., 9.2.x and nightly, but without an hint how to reproduce.
the crashes come and go, means: sometimes, over 6 h SAT-TV, I do not get a single one.
debug log/ bug report:
Kodi crashes watching Sat-TV · Issue #17531 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
When I start the nuc for the first time of an day the pictures are first completely correct, but after some time (~5 minutes) I get this artefacts.
Strange is that I'm able to watch streaming TV (german mediathek, movie-res. 864x480) or 2-4k movies I downloaded without this artefacts or crashes.
I have never seen this with my old NUC (D34010WYKH).
what I have tried so far:
- played with all video related setting
- setup a hand configured nuc (no backup restore)
- set the lowest GPU freq. to 1050 (it lowered the artefacts somewhat)
my qestions are:
1. where is my problem ?
2a. is it hardware or software ?
2b. did I bought a "monday-device" ?
2c. what HW component (HDMI cable, RAM, digibit, LAN) to look at ?
3. what is your HDMI firmware version ?
month ago Intel released a version 1.77, but pulled it ~2 weeks ago and re-released 1.77 again
4a. would I see an sat-tv-picture at all, if the digibit, tvheadend or the LAN is unable to deliver an complete/error-free stream/content (?)
I guess there is some error correction build in and working (to some extent).
4b. would I then see a picture and would it declare the artefacts ?
...
my Setup:
- Telestar DIGIBIT R1 (refurbished, but flawless working since ~2 years) with standard FW
- cable directly from the sat dish into the digibit (no switches, etc.)
- TvHeadend for germany-sat-tv on the (same) NUC
- LAN connection
- HDMI connection
- Monitor: Philips 247E3LHSU
- Audio goes via HDMI into the monitor and at the headphone out to an 2.1 speaker system
you might use "testparm -v" on an command line to see which setting from what smb.conf is at least in use.
e.g.
testparm -v | grep "domain master"
what I read years ago: Browser election is a long lasting and a ongoing process.
IIRC there were/are settings to force a Browser.
Working on it..
But how can I access the log files if it's not booting up??
"SAFE MODE" indicates for me a successful boot - but I hadn't this case on LE, other distro only -
ssh into LE maybe
.... Don't be shy giving details...
and the output of
a) systemctl status xorg.service
and/or
b) cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
can lower the "shyness" too
THX for response !
I'm currently in an testing/replicating mode:
as said LE is scratch installed/configured (no backup restore) and addon's with care only.
I'm just waiting for an crash.
service.kn.switchtimer is in the org. LE-AddOn-Repo. The switch for "unknown sources" in addon settings is still off thereby !
KN Switchtimer Service | Kodi | Open Source Home Theater Software
while I'm here:
where to place an RFC regarding "dual boot" for LE ?
since some time I get crasher in LE watching TV (SAT).
it starts some weeks ago in LE 9.2 and remains after upgrade to 9.2.1.
it happens also in a clean LE 9.2.1 install plus backup restore.
the crasher occurs with the following addon's installed:
- tvheadend
- system-tools
- network-tools
- service.kn.switchtimer
- WDR Rockpalast
- ZDF mediathek 2016
- mediathekview
hardware: see signature !
while I'm completely screwed understanding the crash log esp. regarding the questions:
a) is it kodi itsself / alone ? or
b) is it kodi in combination with my AddOn's ? or
c) something other
1. Question:
Is anybody here who could give me a pointer where to look at ?
Yesterday, I installed LE 9.2.1 from the scratch.
I did NO restore from my backup => complete new config. by hand
only the first 4 Addon's were installed
for the first run/use: NO crasher so far.
2. Question:
so it looks like one of my addional AddOn's runs wild, but which one ?
stack trace attached
take a look at:
soundcard regression (9.2 => 9.2.1) - LibreELEC Forum
(maybe) no need to downgrade !!!
Any ideas on what could be the problem?
don't know exactly, but in my TvHeadend HTSP Client (see: Setting => Add-ons => my add-ons => PVR client) the IP is set to 127.0.0.1, ports are default (9981 and 9982) and NO user and NO user passwd
dmesg | grep -i cec
and a "visual" grep through the whole dmesg shows nothing.
anyway, I attached a photo of the bios setting related to CEC
...
As far as I know, Intel/AMD/Nvidia don't have CEC support in any motherboard or graphics card. ...
Sure ?
Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i3BEH 126150
search for CEC.
...These old but good for Kodi models can't handle CEC over HDMI properly!
Are the newer models better in this?
I don't know, cause I got no use case for CEC, but it's buildin, see above.
what makes you so confident ?
if I follow the download links I see:
so it seems 9.1.501 is the last one - at least on that mirror - !
maybe it was late mirrored after some internal testing or waiting on an late fix since 2019-09-03, I guess ...
btw. after an short test on my NUC: it runs well - so far - Thanks guys !!!
