One can, but it's not recomended.
Try making a backup of your present LE, make a fresh install of CE_9.0.1 and restore your backup. Usually that will work OK, if it doesn't you are left with only one option...
Upgrade worked like a charm - no mishaps everything worked, just straight forward. Will post back with feedback.

Forgive me for what might sound like a stupid question. Can one just update from this le to ce Just by putting the CE update file in the specific folder?
Just loaded 8.2.4.1 on my Beelink GT1 2G/16G as an update tar to 8.2.2.3 as was experiencing brief lockups on liveTV. So far so good, no more lockups

It used to be that you ssh in, then type installtointernal on some devices you have to do it twice.
Worked like a charm from Android7 .. (had to do it twice) - very happy with the performance!
