Did you try unbricking it by installing an android version over otg? Here is a tutorial: How to use the Amlogic USB Burning Tool to manually update firmware - AndroidPCReview
Yes , but still stuck on Amlogic boot logo
The cnx link seems to be wrong.

I would like to test a build for
Review of CX-S806 TV Box Powered by Amlogic S812 Processor
Kerber has it working ( in older OE build ) if it would make it easier for you to build for Libreelec build ?
5.95.4
If I flash from your img file (LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.0-devel-20160721.img) and boot up my pi, it hangs at resizing storage. However, if I first flash LibreElec (v7.90.003 Alpha), boot up my pi, and then load your TAR file in /storage/.update then all works just fine.
If it matters, I am using a Pi 3 but I *think* I may have tried a couple weeks ago with a Pi 2 and had the same results but I can't recall for certain.
Other possibly relevant details:
Patriot 64GB microSDXC
Just wait ! Resizing took "forever" but then it's fine
I can try. It's probably only a missing driver/module in the kernel.
Thank you for mce remote support in latest build
Have a look at this page, download the right version for your device (which you hopefully find there) and copy the remote.conf file to /storage/.config.
Thanks ! Can you also add support for mce remote in your builds ? Kerber had it working in his OE m8 builds
