Grabbed a H96+ Pro 3/32 912 and while it works great for streaming video files over the network it suffers from the uboot issue of not being able to turn on via the remote. I have solved the problem by running it 24/7 but would advise against buying it as there are many other options that are also good and can boot up via remote fine.

Hi,
Bought the H96PRO+, do I need to fix it with u-boot and if so how do I do that?
And forgot, which dtb file do I need to use for this box?
I don't think this is the only box with this problem. I use a harmony 665/650 to use the learn function. Try the Coreelec forums.
Found this thread which appears to have the issue solved in simpler manner bit not yet supporting 912.

EDIT: Can this be done in windows ? seems to imply that linux is required Home · CoreELEC/u-boot Wiki · GitHub

Just got this box (H96pro+ with looks like blue board) for a second TV and discovered it powers off but not back on then found this thread.
EDIT: Reading through the thread it seems a bit advanced for me and risky having to write to the internal memory. Think its probably just easier to leave the unit on 24/7.
Would have bought another model if I had known about this issue

I did have HDR enabled on my LG OLED but after disabling it all the video output options were still greyed out. Deleting gui.xml made no difference, full fresh install made no difference.
Have an amlogic 912 box on its way so think I will just get rid of this intelNUC

Everything just has default next to it at the moment.
<setting id="videoscreen.resolution" default="true">16</setting>
<setting id="videoscreen.screen" default="true">0</setting>
<setting id="videoscreen.screenmode" default="true">DESKTOP</setting>
<setting id="videoscreen.stereoscopicmode" default="true">0</setting>
<setting id="videoscreen.whitelist" default="true"></setting>

Hi,
Is it possible to have an IntelNUC output 1080P to a 4K TV?
All my options in LibreELEC are greyed out.
Thanks

Can the KM8 Pro 912 box running LibreELEC handle switching between 1080P and 4K content? i.e. colour space switching which i keep hearing about?

My NUC5CPYH has suspended and resumed perfectly for years, updated the firmware last week and now it no longer wakes, or wakes with a black screen and no video its hard to tell.
Super frustrating as when I turn the unit fully off and on it seems to stuff up my library as it doesnt detect the network share and removes everything.

You can't turn on with Kore.
damn Thanks

Is it possible to power the device on and off using Kore remote with this build?
I have switched back to using my intel NUC and doing 4k with my TV media player as not being able to power the device on and off was a bit of an annoyance.
-
1. Press Power On on remote
2. switch on 220v power strip
3. insert power cable
99. Are You kidding me
No. I wasn't able to power on vie Kore or a physical remote, hence the question.
-
1. Menu - Power - Shutdown
2. Press power off button on remote
3. Press box power button
4. ssh command
5. switch off 220 volt power strip
6. remove power cable from box
And turning it back on?

How are people powering on/off their device?
I am just leaving my KM8 Pro on 24/7 at the moment as I couldn't figure out how to sleep/wake the device using this LibreELEC build.

It´s the Linux path connected to the box
Your picture shows smb shares
/storage/.config is mapped to smb \\<ipfrombox\Configfiles
I recommend ssh connection and edit remote.conf with Linux editor vi or nano
I thought it was just a matter of downloading someone elses remote file and copying it over.
Is there a step by step guide anywhere to do that? No interested in editing my own. Thanks

Path is /storage/.config/
or
/flash (read only file system)
There is no storage folder when going in via windows...only as per attached screenshot.

My last post got deleted, perhaps because it had a link to a picture of my box/remote km8 pro?
Everything I read is saying to put the remote.conf file in a /.config/ folder but that path doesn't exist on my [8.2.2.3] LibreELEC setup on the km8 pro.
When I go in via windows I can see \\MYIP\Configfiles\rc_keymaps but putting a remote.conf file in there does nothing.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a file to get the remote on the KM8 Pro working?

Just got this installed on a km8 pro, using Kore on an Android tablet as the video remote same as my previous Intel nuc.
A couple of questions.
1) is it possible to sleep and wake using Kore like I did with my nuc? Sleep turns it off but it becomes unresponsive and requires a full manual power cycle to get it back on with wake is not working.
2) how do I confirm its actually outputting at 4k when playing a 4k file? Menus are 1080p and no idea if it's switching on playback.
