Okay I had a guess as to what to do and it's worked.
Thanks for that!

Thanks - However even after having a look at the PVR & Services TVHeadend stuff and searching, I have absolutely no idea what any of that means.
And why would it work for a day then suddenly stop? -
Many thanks for that, it makes sense now.
This video seems to be pretty reasonable explaining how to do it.

Ta, I'll try Tubed.
And with no surprise to me, that doesn't work either.
"Error: quota exceeded"
So I'm allowed to watch zero videos? -
And it's not resolved, again.
I foolishly tried to perform the difficult task of watching the TV and it's not working again. I changed absolutely nothing.
Here's the log - https://paste.kodi.tv/bufusefami
Any suggestions please. -
I don't think it is LE.
I think it is changes that YT put in.
You may well be right - But I use two browsers simultaneously most of the time, one of them doesn't have me logged into YT and the videos play the same as the other browser where I am logged-in. How is that different to LE not being logged-in and requesting to play a video? -
i just wish someone could port newpipe to kodi.. its a opensource android client with no google api whatsoever.. it whould be perfect for basic kodi usage.. you can import your subscriptions from google takeout.. and if you need more advanced features.. just use the current api supported addon
How about just putting it back the way it used to be, where you didn't have to sign-in to watch YT. That worked just fine on earlier version of LE. -
Got it working properly now - The problem was that I was selecting my local city location and it just wasn't loading any channels or muxes or whatever it's called. I picked Australia in general and all the channels are there now.
And yes, CvH it has TVHeadend as the back & front ends and it's working just fine.
Now to figure out the Youtube thingy ....
Please mark this thread as resolved. -
can only worked by chance
Nope, it's starting to work as it used to again.
I just have to work out how to get it to scan all the channels. So still working on it for now. -
Edit - still fiddling trying to work it out ...
-
Okay uninstalled all that, rebooted, then installed TVHeadend service, then TVHeadend PVR and it's looking promising as there's the TV guide & other icons at the top of the screen. Nothing more than that, so I'll hit the wiki to figure out how to get the backend thingy to get channels.
Still not solved yet, but closer.
And then on to getting Youtube to work ... -
I'll uninstall TVHeadend and re-install it, see how that goes.
Backend first then front end? -
please just install Tvheadend 4.2 or 4.3 and not both and please just use the pvr.hts client (vor Tvh) and not additional mythtv and nextpvr
basically your tvheadend server is not running, likely because you have both installed
It worked like that before the update.
Remove the supremebuilds crap from your Kodi setup, otherwise support stops and this thread will be closed before darkness falls.
Video piracy has no place on this forum.
A friend suggested that I install it 'cause it was awesome, etc. So I downloaded it, but then looked at what it really was an did and it's of no interested to me, so it was downloaded but not installed. And it's gone now anyway.
I disagree with the statement to simply ignore NextPVR since it is can easily be installed via a zip package that CvH started for us but unfortunately abandoned, as it is working quite well in my testing on LE and CE platforms. Alternately you can install using Docker but configuring /dev/dvb devices in Docker takes a bit more expertise and potentially more resources although on an x64 device I doubt that would be a concern.

Why can't I use what was working perfectly before though?
-
Managed to get a log file out of it.
https://paste.kodi.tv/ocihimomus -
I tried doing what is written at - https://wiki.libreelec.tv/support/log-files
But there is simply no 'paste system logs' to be seen anywhere.
So the attached photo is as much information as I can get sorry.I rebooted it, got this updated log page.
Again, nothing on the Wiki page works. I used to be able to SSH into the box, now that doesn't work either. -
Far too long a story and far too much swearing but I finally got 10.0.1 installed.
And immediately the TV function stopped working. I've got TVheadend installed as the front & back ends, they worked perfectly before on 9.2.6.
I've also tried MythTV and NextPVR for front ends but both refuse to work as well. The only thing that happens is a message up the top-right of the screen"PVR manager is starting up 0%" and a circle that spins around and that's it.
It's a generic PC-based box.
Any suggestions please? -
A bit of a bump for this problem.
I don't use YT much on the Libreelec box but just occasionally I'd like to. It's always worked just fine but after the last update (on 9.2.6 now) it asks to sign-in. I followed the instructions on the link provided and it takes me to this page -
https://github.com/anxdpanic/p…be/wiki/Personal-API-Keys
I'm signed-in on that page but it refuses to let me create a project or whatever it is I'm supposed to do. See the attachment.
After reading this thread I thought I'd try to update to V10 but I can't long-in with SSH as it doesn't recognise any password I've tried. (kodi, libreelec, password, guest, admin) I would not have changed the password so I don't know how to go any further with that either.
Any suggestions please? If it's going to be a s**tfight I'll just delete the YT app from the box and be done with it. -
Solved ...... but not the way I would have liked.
I ran a long network cable from the router (about 20 metres of cable) up into the ceiling then back down to this pc. It all works now and I'm quite happy to leave it at that. I still have no idea why it just would not work through the wireless connection.
