This shows that this Gold Coast transmitter, Mount Tamborine, is in a UHF area, with SBS's mux on 613.5MHz, ABC's on 620.5MHz, Seven's on 627.5MHz, Nine's on 648.5MHz, Ten's on 641.5MHz and (not on the screen shot) Prime's on 655.5MHz, NBN's on 662.5MHz and Southern Cross's on 669.5MHz.

If you're between transmitters it could be that your aerial/antenna is picking up just enough of the ABC mux you've added with the other transmitter's details but it's not a good enough signal for the others?

This page migh be useful to find your transmitter and its frequencies if its not Mount Tambourine - it lists neighbouring transmitters etc.

I changed to all those frequencies and did another scan, and it seemed to populate all the muxes/channels okay. Went out to the telly to try it and the EPG was blank, as was the channel info for each channel in its tab. Bugger, I thought, but then I tried picking a channel and it worked. I had wondered if it was going to take some time to populate all the details and that's all it was.
As I watched a few channels, their info started to fill the appropriate boxes as did the EPG.
I'm just doing a bit of tidying up now, getting rid of the shopping & racing channels etc, but it's pretty much all done.

Yes other than the frequencies all those muxes are set the same as each other.
We don't have a regular TV unfortunately.
I think we (at least) used to use the My Tamborine transmitter, don't quote me on that though.
Anyway I found that there's only two transmitters here, one at Mt Tamborine and the other at Currumbin.

Okay I think I did everything you mentioned in your previous long post correctly, it's still not working unfortunately.

Okay will do, thanks again. A bit of a medical hiccup today, I'll try to do all that this week some time.
I can't understand why it's needed though, as the first time I set it all up with the first pc-based box the auto scan worked fine and did so right up until the box failed. Then just over a week later when this pi box was setup the frequencies had all changed coincidentally in that week? Seems unlikely.

Back after a break, I ran out of steam trying to make all this work.
And I'm pretty much there again now.

I fitted a Pi TV Hat to the Pi to try to eliminate any chance of odd gears causing a problem. Swapped over the TV coax cables to find what seemed to be the best one. Rebooted the Pi many times.

Maybe a tiny bit closer but I still have no idea where to go from here. So I've recorded a video of the TVHeadend setup and in it you can see the scanning progress bar quickly go from 0 to 37% and then stay there from about the 30 second mark to about the 1:05 minute mark, just did that to show that the scanning stops there and doesn't progress any further, even if I leave it for half an hour or so.
Lemme know if I'm doing anything wrong please.

Thanks, but I'm about 16,500 km from the UK and so not likely to pick up any signals from there.

Yeah I'm a bit overwhelmed by the number of responses. I'll first try a dedicated power supply to the tuner and if that doesn't work I'll try to tackle some of the other suggestions & questions here.

The tuner worked fine for years before with the old box running on LE.
It's apparently a DiBcom 7000PC unit.
I have no idea what any of the details are of the TV transmissions around here sorry.

I just re-installed TVH 4.3, and swapped over the tuner into a different USB port.
While it was scanning a few times a signal strength popped-up on the screen but then disappeared. Am currently still sitting on 'unknown' for SNR & Signal Strength for both tuners again.
Is it perhaps that the USB tuner is not compatible with the Pi? If so, should I get a Raspberry Pi TV hat instead?

Looks like that is likely the problem.
I don't know why it's doing that as the tuner worked fine before and they are both enabled. I'll try plugging it into a different USB port and see how that goes.

All prior to this post was trying with TVH 4.3, I'm now trying 4.2 but no difference so far. Should I go back to 4.3?

Okay got into the browser interface, but it seems to refuse to scan successfully for channels or services whatever they call it.
The tuner is detected and the correct pre-defined mux has been selected.
I can click on the 'force scan' button the number of muxes shows up as 14, then on the far right the scan queue counts down from 14 to 0.

The tuner does work as the TV works like a normal dumb TV and I had a few channels working on it yesterday though LE but I still want it all to work properly.

Okay I unistalled everything then rebooted then re-installed TVH.
Got into the browser menu, yay!
Then I added the login & password in the setup process, and when I tried to login again, it gives me a '403 forbidden' error.
Yay.

Just doing it all again now.

Some small progress. I have some TV channels working thanks to installing the Pluto TV PVR.
But I still have no EPG and there's a lot of channels missing, so I still need to get browser access to TVheadend.
Any suggestions please?

I've got the TV headend PVR installed on LE and as best I can tell I have to go to 192.168.1.189:9981 to access its interface. But when I do that all I get is the error message from the browser 'site can't be reached'.
Have set the login & password.
Any suggestions please?
