Coffe lake is ready to go - I didn't expirenced any issue on my build, I'm only didn't test HD audio

btw. also I'm advice use drm-tip kernel version for Gemini and Coffe - the driver version is far away from 4.16

and maybe is good add to your build drm-debug in syslinux, then users easly with no extra work (editing) will could post logs on BZ

APU from ryzen still don't have support in Kernel, mesa, xorg etc. I saw some commits but still they need few weeks or months

read kodi forum but what is know before AMD used VDAPU now they testing VAAPI but it dosnt look so nice compare to intel - still in progress.

special for new APU - here lrusak should know more

that kernel/driver issue, Apollo lake has LSPCON and other issue, I'm suppose AMD is not perfect also.

That driver/kernel issue - already reported I'm waiting on patch, when you loose picture Enough unplug HDMI cable and plug back. I will keep you update once I will get something to fix that,

About 25Hz I don't have any issue, are you sure media files are with 25 not 24 or 23.98 ....?

Did you tried make dump EDID and inject ?? Did you checked all supported freq by your TV ??

use UPNP/DLNA in kodi to watch native on TV all HDR media files - including subtitles

bumped xorg, mesa, vaapi, and couple of other packages framerate switch working fine

just put file xorg.conf to /storage/.config/

PS. for them what are expecting HDR working , is still long way for get working on Linux (but in progress)

for now what works for me ...in kodi -> settings enable DLNA/UPNP after that all media will be visible on TV and you will get possibility

play this files with HDR (subtitles also working)

yes i added needed changes/patches but official HEVC10 support will come at LE9 with kodi18
Both my build from Index of / are with HEVC support and optimalized for intel and i will update from time to time.

this mostly based on code which will included in 8.0.2 release. but this is not official release so i called 8.0-devel
in updated there few packages mostly from intel-stuff and latest kernel. tested and working stable
