Yeap because you have the MXIII and not the MXIII-G/PLUS
You should use the S82 image
Demetri, I have the X8H-Plus and used the LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.2.3-X8H-PLUS.tar image, but have the same problem.
LE logo on boot and then black screen.

Please someone help. After the update the libreelec logo appears in the left top corner of my screen but after that the screen is black. I use the LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.2.3-MXIII-PLUS.tar (I have the MXIII-G)
That sounds like the same problem that I have on the x8h-plus.
I know what's wrong I will fix it and release new images for you.
Christmas is coming sooner
Hi Demetris,
Did you forget my Christmas present?
Nope, can you consider testing it on a different 4k tv?
Demetris, I was trying on a 50" Seiki 4K TV.
Just tried with a brand new LG 49UJ63 both with an old HDMI cable and a brand new HDMI 2.0 one. Same result.
As per siborg, 4K was working on Android.
Photos attached.
Great now go back version by version and tell me when this bug started happening so i can fix it
Thank you.
I was on 8.0.2b before 8.2.2 and I'm pretty certain I had the same problem then. I haven't been using the box since moving off from Android as it took me a while to find the time to sort out the SMB issues.
Would a screenshot of the problem help?
I've got a strange problem with 4K on my Neo X8H Plus running 8.2.2.
If I change the resolution of the Kodi interface to 4K the TV just displays a static 1080p image in the top left quarter of the screen. The image appears to be what was on screen immediately before the Confirm/Revert resolution change message.
If I hit back on the remote, it reverts back to 1080p. I've tried setting refresh rate down to 24Hz (from 60Hz) before changing the resolution, but this doesn't make any difference.
If I leave the Kodi interface at 1080p and then play a 4K video, the TV switches to 4K @ 24Hz and plays the video. However, a static image of the Kodi interface is overlayed in the top left corner as above.
