Just create a backup and save to external media (couple of minutes) and then copy/zip the contents of the FAT partition to external media.
After creating a new sd card with a .gz file, overwrite the FAT partition with your zip backup, reboot and restore the LE/CE backup from there (You don't really even have to backup the FAT partition as you will recreate it when you make a new SD)
Which backup is better?
- Create System and Kodi Backup (in Settings/System)
- Backup /author: @robweber/ (from built-in Kodi Add-on repository)

f..k, my SD card is 16GB. This is likely to take a long time
I will only be able to do this in two steps, separate FAT partition and separate the ext.
Thanks guys

Win32 Disk Imager
You do need to designate a destination file BEFORE you can hit "READ" (no the most intuitive, but works great).
thx, but
so you can with this only copy an image (zBs .IMG) files to an SD card.
I want to make a copy from one of my working LibreELEC SD cards to another SD card. I would like to experiment with this copy and if I get spoiled, I can use the original LibreELEC SD card after. Then no panic
I need a program, which make a one in one copy (FAT and ext partitions at the same time in one step) in a few minutes.
Something idea?
thx

You can upgrade without losing addons. BUT some addons may not still work with Leia. I would do a copy of the sd-card than use the copy and upgrade. Then you see which addons work/dont work or which addons you must update, IF there is yet a update for the new version of Kodi/Leia.
Hallo,
can you tell me, which program can you copy the entire SD card (FAT and ext) in one step?
Which one does not last for hours
thank you

little bit hard to say, because I could not install the latest LE9.0 directly from SD. Using the
dtb gxl_p281_2g.dtbwhich is specific for "W" soc did not work for me. The box would drop in shell after the LE logo. Can't remember the msg but done some reading and the problem resides in the boot not able to find a partition called STORAGE, hence could not do all the writing/setup during the first boot.
So my only way around was to flash the previous version LE8.2 on SD, with device tree (i think)
gxl_p212_2g.dtb
run the full installation so it could create the second partition, then drop the latest LE9.0 .tar file in the .update directory, renamed the partition LIBREELEC_DATA (or however was called, can't remember) to STORAGE on PC with gparted, reboot and in this way I had a clean install to the latest version. Don't know if there was any other way to do it, been searching forums with specific keywords and that's the only way found to work with this box. Discovered after buying this model that it was not recommended for ELEC on the various boards, so did not want to bother developers. Hope this works for others as well. Or to help developers tracing the problem. Now that I have it working on SD I've just made a clean install image with dd and start from that instead. I'm on the latest COREELEC devel and most of the problems I had with LE8.2 (out of sync audio/video on m3u streams, PVR, etc) seem to have gone and compared to the android version on the same box perform and quality is absolutely incredible for a 25 quid box. Can't connect in wifi but not bothered as I always use wired connection.
this for your records is on a Mecool M8S Pro W 2GB 16GB with Nexus ROM in NAND.
OK
This is a littlebit weird for me. I dont think about these files are good for me.
I installed the LibreELEC 8.90 system on a completely blank SD Card according to the appropriate standard, as the previous version LibreELEC 8.2 too. In the LibreELEC 8.2 system was 5GHz WiFi, in the 8.90 system had no, only 2.4GHz.
Or can developers know something to answer? GDPR-2
I can only connect to 2.4GHz now, but the 5GHz would be better. I have both WiFi. This is a very populated area in the city where I living and everyone uses 2.4GHz WiFi, so this WiFI speed is slow. 5GHz WiFi was in 8.2, and it was very fast.
Thanks

Hallo,
I am very satisfied, but
can (or could) this build to work with 5GHz WiFi? With 8.2 build it was possible.
thank you
-
Hallo everyone,
it is possible to use this ROM with the 5 GHz WiFi?
I use now the LibreELEC 8.90.3 with original install, no update.
thx

It would be more helpful for other people if you would tell us what the problem was and how you ended up fixing it.
The most important is the trusty internet network.
I did everything as described, and when the internet was fully restored, everything worked.
Thank you for the advices, thank you for the builders

satel, could it be that you have too many devices with netflix installed?
Don't they limit the number of devices you can use?
I always with this Box connected to Netflix. I have 2 Screens +HD contract and I always logout from the others if I try on laptop.
thanks
-
Netflix works well on MiniMX, I just installed Netflix add-on and make inputstream add-on active, then login and that is all.
thank you the positive information
-
I didn't see this, I'm not too sure what you have done because Netflix works out of the box usually, you just have to install the add-on and login, the library downloads automatically.
I have already many times installed Netflix and the entire system in the past 3 days. Unfortunately the Netflix does not go.
Thank you

I answered you yesterday on this and you have clearly ignored my post entirely.
I did yesterday and I wrote that it did not work unfortunately (#1,311)

Hallo adamg, kszaq, hallo everybody,
Do you have any idea, what should I do for Netflix?
I would like to use my NETFLIX account with my box, but I can not.
I installed a LibreELEC 8.90.2 ver. on the clean box and run it (from SD). Then I used this instruction for the Netflix install.
With PuTTY I made the 2 extra command line, and the result is:
Using username "root".

After the restart I started the Netflix using and always this 2 messages appears:

What to do to run the Netflix?
A Hungarian forum said the widevine is lacking. This is causing the problem.
If it is true, then do you think it can be repairable in a next release?
Or in my case in my Box the Netflix is completely forgotten
thanks for the suggestions
