Hi all,
is it known, that a fresh installation of LE 12.0.1 along with either TVhead4.2 or 4.3. on Raspi 3 B+ is not really working?
-
Just wanted to tell, that I have been using LE 11.0.6 over one year I guess and have to admit, that it is the worst LE ever.
Not a single day without a crash. It is horrible, Bluetooth connection loss ocassionaly, resourc hunger....
LE 8 & 9 where awesome, then came the downfall with LE 10 and 11..Disappointing..
Cheers

Okay, found the answer:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=998627
It is simply not enabled anymore due to many bugs, which do not seem to be maintained.Okay, it is a free software so, we cannot be mad about someone or something here.
Please buy professional products with support as of now, when NTFS is needed.

Hi,
thanks for all your thoughts on this matter.
Please note: It was working a long time with wifi. No laggs, no asynchroniousity appeared.
But then one fine day, it started to happen.
I need to find out whether or not this is a bug in KODI or in LE and how to troubleshoot it.
Lastly: By the time I use ethernet connection, the issue seems to disappear but I am already on ethernet connection only and switched off wifi and the issue just came up again.
To me it looks like a cache issue again in KODI just like it occured in the early days of KODI.

Hi all,
I cam across the issue that the video/audio sync getting asynchronious as well as a sligher speed up of the video when using the raspi 3s built in wifi chip.
This issue occurs occasionally after a short while of watching videos.
It does not matter, whether watching .ts or .mv files via smb or using an addon like Disney+ or Netflix etc.
The issue disappears when turning off wifi, then switching ethernet on, if disabled and further on using only ethernet.
Who has also came across that issue?
Cheers

Hi all,
I just logged in my LE 9.2.7 via SSH and did: mv </var/media/HDD1/Directory> </var/media/HDD2NewDirectory>
Then I interrupted the process using crtl + z and set it to background using bg.
1) Since there is no. command. like disown I expected this to be built in.
2) I exited the SSH shell and logged right back in. Process was not there and. file got "lost".
Questions:
1) Is there a way to recovery the file using LE built in tools?2) how to get a job disowned from shell in LE, busybox 1.31.1

Hi,
now I can upload the logs.
Here some answers:
- What do you want to do on your scenario?
Basicall, I wann to use one Raspi (A) via wifi to connect to internet, to be able to view Zattoo IP-TV. (Never mentioned that right?)
That Raspi is directly connected to another Raspi (B), which is having USB storages attached. My so called movie library.
2. Why don't you upload the log?
Apologies for the delay. I always need to de-mount some boards an attach my ethernet cable to my macbook. Takes some time and efforts.
Another experience I have now made is:
1) I was asking myself, why the heck don't I try to use the A- Raspi only wifi for testing purposes. This way I would eliminate the hypthese, that connmann still is trying to use ethernet as preferred internet connection.
So I disconnected the ethernet this morning and restarted.
I am still having issues with my IP-TV and in combination to that, when adding the ethernet cable, Raspi A isn't getting the right internet connection.
-
Dear Da Flex,
yes, okay. I will upload the log asap.
However I know the reason why the issue occurs.
Reason is:
- Connman prefers ethernet over wifi.
- This forced me to copy connmann to connmann_main.conf as described by chewitt.
- Now I have wifi connected and running fine. In addition to that, I have an ethernet connection between two raspberry pi.
-> Connman still wants to use ethernet as preferred connection to the internet.
The right questions now are:
1) Is it even possible to use wifi as internet connection and a static direct connection via ethernet cable between two devices.
As far as my experiences now are concerned, I think the scenario I am running isn't even a supported one, is it?

Hi guys,
I am using a raspberry 3 with LE 9.2.1. with Wifi connected and ethernet directly connected to another raspberry via regular cat5e cable.
This is a very abnormal scenario and I think LibreELEC cannot handle it very well.
Right now, the cpu usage is at 90% (I can see on screen, since logging is enabled)
This issue is occurring since I have created the conman_main.conf and set connmann to prefer wifi over ethernet.
I am unable to upload logs I am afraid, since Kodi is out of control.
I am not experiencing this issue if I use the raspberry in a managed network having not the wifi to be the primary internet connection and ethernet attached as a direct static route.
I was just able to get the logs after I did a reboot.

Interface naming is determined by kernel hardware probing order. As a broad rule "internal" hardware normally probes first, but it's not guaranteed, so if the USB device is probed first it will be wlan0, and the internal becomes wlan1, etc.
WiFi has nothing to do with Kodi.
Do a couple of reboots and see if the MAC address of the wlan0 (USB) interface changes with each boot?
Thanks for your reply!
Basicall all is true and I know, that the kernel determines what is possible for the on top "os" and devices etc..
I mean, within Kodi I deactivated the wifi adapter and cannot reactivate in anymore, even though the dongle is being recognized by the kernel and can be used.
To answer your question:
I did a couple of reboots and the mac addresses do not change for the according wifi devices.
I therefore think the Kodi settings for the wifi seem to be immature, which is the reason I opened up a case at Kodinerds.
Never mind.
Let us close this one out.
Thanks for taking care, Chewitt ! I really appreciate it.

I just did some testing:
1) I did what you advised chewitt and navigated toLE Settings > Connections and chose the offline adaptor to connect to my wifi.
-> Ended up in crash of Kodi.
2) I tried to delete the connection, which also ended up in crashing Kodi.
3) I realized, that my external usb wifi dongle obviously is wlan0 and the internal chip of Raspi is wlan1 -> Does that make sense? I can't remember that
Do I have to revert back to factory defaults or is there another way to reset the network setting!?
Cheers

LE Settings > Connections > Browse the list, you should see networks listed twice, once with wlan0 and again with wlan1. Select the wlan1 connection and 'connect' the connection.
Dear chewitt,
well yes, I did that of course but it won't connect and says, that no carrier is there.
Might be important: I have copied the connmann file to .config/conmman_main.conf like you described:
But I since I having this issue with deactivated adaptors for years now, I guess this has nothing do with it. Just wanted to let you know...

Hi guys,
in my network settings of Kodi 18.6. I have two wifi adaptors.
wlan0 is the raspis internal wifi, which is connected, up and running.
I do have wifi1 which is external usb wifi adaptor, which works but I connected it to a wifi and then deactivated this "connection".
I did it like, navigating to the network settings, then selecting wifi1 (which was connected to a wifi),
then edited that connection and selected addressing mode "off".
I do not know how to turn the wifi1 back on. I forgot how to do this.
Can yome help me?
Thanks.
