I use a GA-B150N Phoenix-WIFI (rev. 1.0) | Mainboards - GIGABYTE Germany so I think it's more or less the same generation of ITX gaming/whatever board. The gigabyte board uses a M.2 socket wifi intel wifi card so it's easy to make it work. But I haven't found any information about your wifi chipset, maybe it's some atheros stuff? Anyway good to know that it works.
Can you post the result of "dmesg | grep wifi"? I guess escalade could add the driver too if he knows whats missing.

Bbtw what about "b o o s t"? This is blacklisted too? It's a bit tricky to talk about the c++ lib while it's name is forbidden.
Still no luck for me, xorg is still failing to even start with the newest build. I was however able to get the ubuntu 18.04 beta installed without issue, so I do have hope.
Can you upload ubuntus dmesg log to pastebin and post it ?
What mainboard do you use? I guess the kernel & wifi firmware just does it's job 
I was trying to compile the new xserver 1.20 rc but ran into some problems. I created a new xorgproto package that replaces the single proto packages and added nettle to the dependencies. Is there anything else I have to change? I can deliver some logs after a rebuild too.
The TBS6281 uses the saa716x driver, it's not in the kernel tree but supported by the crazycat69 drivers so it should work.
This doesn't have tv adapter drivers installed like official version has? I have TBS tv tuner card but I can't see it in Tvheadend Configuration.
Escalades has no dvb cards so these drivers are not included but you can try one of my remix builds. It's basically esclades remix but include the crazycat69 drivers.
What's the model or name of your TBS tuner? Is it a listed device? TBS Technologies - LinuxTVWiki
The config files are located in /etc/X11 and I couldn't find them in the .config folder either so I guess you have to do the basic setup to activate SSH then.

Inspired by RetroPie/recalbox/Lakka, I've modified LE to allow for proper emulator gaming without any addons. I know there's ongoing work to integrate the libretro cores into Kodi with "retroplayer", but for the moment I'm still sticking with a standalone frontend for launching different types of emulators. One reason is that KMS (kernel mode setting) is superior with regards to input lag, another is that not all emulators have a proper core yet (amiga/c64/dosbox for example).
A german tech site suggested to delete the kernel command line parameter "splash" and inserted "amdgpu.dc=1" to force loading of the new display-core driver. They had the same problems while testing raving ridge as you gwilly but maybe this is only valid for older kernel 4.15.x versions.

Wir haben die Grafikausgabe der Raven Ridge unter Linux nach einigem Ausprobieren doch noch zuverlässig zum Laufen bekommen. So erreichte uns der Hinweis, dass die Verwendung von Fedora 27 mit dem aktuellen Linux-Kernel 4.15 die von uns geschilderten Probleme nicht aufweist und damit der prinzipielle Support also doch verfügbar ist.
Unter Ubuntu können wir mit dem aktuellen Linux 4.15.2 sowie mit dem RC1 von Linux 4.16 die 3D-Beschleunigung sowie das Hardware-Decoding von Raven Ridge genau dann nutzen, wenn die Option splash auf der Kernel-Kommandozeile entfernt und über amdgpu.dc=1 das Laden des neuen Display-Core-Treibers forciert wird. Letzteres sollte für Raven Ridge wie auch für Vega eigentlich standardmäßig geschehen. Die Ausgabe funktioniert dabei auch mit dem in Ubuntu 17.10 verfügbaren Mesa 17.2 und LLVM 5.0. Für eine bessere Leistung und weniger Fehler sollten interessierte Nutzer wie erwähnt aber dennoch auf Mesa 18.0 sowie das LLVM 6.0 setzen

Okay so this is a special amd kernel tree and once in a while they backport working stuff to the mainline kernel? Too bad because the new APUs are really interesting for a HTPC build.
So we could "just" take these DC patches and fix the recent kernel ourself?
Are you able to build the citra-libretro package? Looks like they updated the submodules and now libfmt is missing? It fails to build at mint and arch so I guess you have the same problem then?
Testing newer releases right now, maybe they work fine.

Not a PR but I think thats all you need? This package builds fine with kernel 4.15.7 so i guess 4.16 could (should?) also be fine.
I use the j3455-itx board myself so the basics should work out of the box. I'm uploading a more recent build right now so later some images are also ready for testing. My TechnoTrend S2-3600 works without the crazycat addon though so I can't say if it will solve your problems easily.
What brand/type of DVB cards do you use? The kernel should support many out of the box by v4l modules the crazycat addon replaced the linux_media package as far as I understand and is based on this git repo GitHub - crazycat69/linux_media: TBS linux open source drivers. If the package lacks your needed driver maybe we can add it.
CvH offered the LE82.x images with those dvb drivers and they moved them directly into the image:

have a look at GitHub - 5schatten/LibreELEC.tv: A bit more OS as just for KODI It's basically escalades LE8.2 Remix but also includes the "crazycat" dvb-addon. It should build fine on user friendly linux distros. So install VirtualBox, grab a Linux Mint image and you can test if it works for you.
I've "forked" the LE9 crazycat addon and added some fixed drivers to build with kernel 4.15.7 so maybe this helps? They won't build with kernel 4.14.x so you have to use the old media_builds packackge for RPi builds. I know there 's a PR function on git but i haven't figured out how to create one properly.

Version 4.14 still works for me and arch builds the image fine with the recent version. Guess I have to dig a bit deeper in mint then. I dont't want to disable the package just the command xfs_scrub if it's not needed.
