Thx a lot - your support is great and fast as always waiting for can download your new build, otherwise no TV tonight
Well worst case just download one of Milhouse test builds or the latest LE9 beta. Reverting to my build once a new one is up should be no problem.
I've checked the kernel config & everything for audio is in place but I don't know if the new build will actually fixes these problems because it's just a "clean" build but we'll see
EDIT: well I tested a new build on my apollo lake system & the sound device is missing too so I have to further investigate this issues.

LibreELEC:~ # dmesg |paste
LibreELEC:~ #
--> no any error message during booting up
The entire snd_hda_xyz stuff is missing, my log would look like this:
Code[ 4.407273] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: autoconfig for ALC892: line_outs=3 (0x14/0x15/0x16/0x0/0x0) type:line [ 4.407275] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: speaker_outs=0 (0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0) [ 4.407277] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: hp_outs=1 (0x1b/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0) [ 4.407278] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: mono: mono_out=0x0 [ 4.407279] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: dig-out=0x11/0x1e [ 4.407280] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: inputs: [ 4.407282] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Front Mic=0x19 [ 4.407283] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Rear Mic=0x18 [ 4.407285] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Line=0x1a
I started to upload a new generic build but this will take a while. Maybe it will fix it & it was just a faulty kernel driver setting.

Well then it's probably kernel related. Can you both please enter dmesg |paste and tell me the link then? Anyway I had this behavior when the overlay filesystem was broken... do you see any error message when you boot up? I've almost finished a Kodi 18 rc4 build and will upload this one after some tests.

Thanks i did that but still audio output device is default bluetooth audio(pulseaudio) and still greyed out.
Do you have other suggestions?
Well what are you talking about in particular? Kodi? You have to chose the correct audio output device in Kodi first before you'll get any sound output in emulators. In Kodi settings several ALSA devices are listed and you have to chose an appropriate one. The bluetooth PulseAudio device is nothing that should concern you.

I updated from LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-RR-201851-1acbb17.tar to LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-RR-201852-52323f1.tar and i can't select audio outpu device anymore.
It's set to default, bluetooth Audio (PULSEADIO) and it's greyed out.
So now i have no sound anymore.
with LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-RR-201851-1acbb17.tar i have not this issue.
Do you have a solution for this?
Thanks!
You have to set the audio backend to PulseAudio in rr-config first. My start scripts automatically adjust the audio backends in emulators.
is it possible to make the window smaller on my tv?
i tried to adjust the graphics settings but the window is way to big.
i can only adjust shadercompilation the rest is out of the screen
I set auto screen scale factor to false then i added a number but after that it's getting bigger.
you can't set -1 to get it smaller.
I thought the examples are self explaining, if you want to decrease the size try something like 0.5 not negative values. If that doesn't work check out this Xorg - ArchWiki
I have all the usual audio options with the latest build. Generic LE, ROG Gene V Ivy Bridge motherboard.
I noticed there's a Docker addon beta now. Is there any problems with it?
PCSX2 probably runs with docker 18.06.1 too since since the "unable-to-exit-bug" was kernel related but I've updated an RC build of the latest version just in case.
Well I should have been more specific -> Docker works fine again so PCSX2 if it ran before. Maybe I'll find some time and mood to try it on my workstation again since otherwise I have no option to run PCSX2 with a Nvidia GPU

Hi all, i am trying to play PSone games, but they are not being playable. I have tried to insert the BIOS for the USA region in different folders, but no one works. I tried in the BIOS folder and in the root folder.
There seems to be a System folder in the micro SD card, but Ubuntu says that it is in Squashfs and it can not open it. I already installe the squashfs-tools(it was already installed), and the System folder just appears grey. I can not create another folder named System in order to place the PSone bios cause it already exist.
Can you help me please ? I am using VIM 1 Pro. I burned the image using Libre Elec's own burning tool.
The file i burned was this one: LibreELEC-KVIM.arm-9.0-RR-201852-52323f1.img.gz
Attaching how it looks on Ubuntu 18.04
Have you read the FAQ emulator section? Check out libretro-pcsx-rearmed and place proper bios files in the listed directory. Make sure the names & md5 sum / file hash is correct.
No not yet i read on dolphin forum you can't map any button if using a real wiimote or using bluetooth passtrough.
A user on this thread is using a hacky way to use his home button on his wiimote to exit dolphin.
If i knew how to create a executable and where to put in my system i would definitly use his temporary solution to achieve this.
Well I use a Wireless Sensor DolphinBar so I have no clue if bluetooth passthrough allows different button mapping but normally the wiimote should work as on a well... Wii There is a power button on the wiimotes but I guess it works like a remote so it requires some lirc stuff to react.
You can use your DS3 controller as well if you can map the ps button because select & start are maybe neccessary for normal game mappings?
BlaBla1973 can you write a brief summary where to place the hotkey.ini and how to find out the correct button mapping & I could add this to the FAQ -
Yes you can, i use a xbox 360 controller for ES and for exit a wii/gc game in dolphine , i press the menu/big X button(button 8 ) on the xbox controller. For the Wii games i use a real wii remote.
So no need for a keyboard, you can set it up in the dolphine menu.
From my hotkeys.ini :
From my Dolphin.ini
But still you would need an additional input device so IMHO it doesn't really matter if you need a controller or keyboard beside the Wiimote. Of course it's quite handy if you play games that work with a controller or gc stuff
-
That's great thanks i'll try this later.
How can i check if dolphin is configured properly?
So if understand it right there is no possiblity to return to ES from game with wiimote only with keyboard pressing escape then?
Well I mean once you've set your controls, graphic settings and else. If your games run well you probably won't have to enter config stuff soon again.
Wii Remote and Dolphinbar. How do you exit games? so there is no other option than hitting Escape afaik.

Sorry i did not make my self clear enough.
What i meant was how to return to ES when quitting a game.
Launching eg mario kart from ES goes direct to the game but after quit the game it goes to dolphin screen instead of ES to all my wii games.
If i press the home button on wiimote it goes to the screen like quit the game with these options wii menu, reset or close but i can't select them with my wiimote.
The only option is press esc on my keyboard wich will return to the dolphin menu instead of ES.
Is there a possibility or setting to avoid going back to dolhin menu and go straight back to ES or is this the right behaviour?
Thanks.
Check your es_systems.cfg and add the flag -b or --batch like I did at line 6 & 16 but make sure you've configured Dolphin properly. You still have to press ESC to exit but then Dolphin will quit & return straight to ES.
Code
Display More<system> <name>gc</name> <fullname>Nintendo Gamecube</fullname> <path>/storage/roms/gamecube</path> <extension>.gcm .iso .wbfs .ciso .gcz .elf .dol .dff</extension> <command>/usr/bin/dolphin.start -b -e %ROM%</command> <platform>gc</platform> <theme>gc</theme> </system> <system> <name>wii</name> <fullname>Nintendo Wii</fullname> <path>/storage/roms/wii</path> <extension>.gcm .iso .wbfs .ciso .gcz .elf .dol .dff</extension> <command>/usr/bin/dolphin.start -b -e %ROM%</command> <platform>wii</platform> <theme>wii</theme> </system>

Thank you very much.
Finally i configured my wiimote with real wiimote and it works.
The only thing i could not managed is to going back to ES when finished my game on my wiimote.
If i press esc on keyboard it always goes back to dolphin menu.
Is it better to emulate the wiimote?
Thanks
sorry for my bad english
Well this is an emulator no real Wii so you have to exit Dolphin like you would exit any other program,
Right now I am using PPSSPP 1.7.5 and SDL2 2.0.8 and I still have the same problem, I will try and update the SDL version and see if that works
Thanks!
Edit: I found out why, its because you have Buffered Rendering by default, if I change it to non-buffered on your build it will also display a black screen unless I go to 16bpp.
Ah okay well maybe the PPSSPP devs should be pointed to this issue? I've see you set 16bpp for your framebuffer but wondered why Anyway I still have some problems with beetle-psx-hw too. Vulkan is stuck to 50hz & OpenGL has graphical glitches.

5schatten I've been using your build for a bit, well... analyzing the code mostly, as I like to learn from anywhere I can, I like a lot of stuff you added and how everything is integrated, you surely know what you are doing! one thing I could not find is how you got PPSSPP standalone to work with a 32bpp color space, no matter what I did on my build it has only worked with 16bpp can you by any chance explain to me how you got it to work?
Well I guess some stuff needs some optimization like the function handling in profile.d but yes all in all it works in most cases though it's sometimes a bit hard to make it work on all platforms.
I've done the same as you do now so I started with escalades builds, digged through the code and reworked everything I needed for LE9 which has countless improvements over LE8 and of course the packages are updated as well. Also I've checked how lakka recallbox or retropie handle stuff and of course arch or LFS is quite handy too. All in all it was quite some work but now I guess I can start to polish the whole thing.
After a user asked for PPSSPP standalone he pointed me to your build and beside this patch sdl2-git-egl.patch I didn't do pretty much to make it run but keep in mind that I use SDL 2.0.9 what might handles stuff different? Also I ported PPSSPP 1.7.x while yours was 1.6.x so maybe it did not work for you because of some bugs that have been fixed in the meantime?

Thanks for the insight. I have been contemplating my next full pc build anyway, so I will probably stick with my current build for now in the living room. just thought it was a bit weird that dreamcast runs full speed on lakka on the j4205. Too much overhead with libreelec in the equation?
Well you tried a fresh install or did you update old builds and swapped between them? Because if reicast runs fine on lakka it should run fine too on my builds Have you enabled KMS?
EDIT: escalade had faulty settings so some emulators did not run at full speed but this was months ago.

Thank you.
Do i need special settings to get dolphin to work in ES?
Or are the default settings enough to get dolphin to work?
Or do i need to set up dolphin in ES?
And can i play my wii games with my wii mote?
index.php?title=configuring_controllers
I really appreciate all the work you and escalade have put in to these remix builds. I tried escalade's build when I first got my asrock j4205 but dreamcast and playstation 1 games did not run at full speed. I then debated on making my own build similar to what you have, but did not get very far. I eventually settled on Libreelec/Lakka dual booting. I decided to give your build a shot and have the same issues. I noticed you have a similar mainboard. Is there anything I need to tinker with before I post some logs? FWIW, everything else I have tested on your build and escalade's build have worked pretty much flawlessly except PS1 and dreamcast.
Edit es_systems.cfg & replace mednafen_psx_libretro.so with pcsx_rearmed_libretro.so since PCSX_reARMed runs faster on low-end systems but don't have high expectations about dreamcast since the j4205 is quite weak and lr-reicast suffers from libretro overhead.
I use an i3 as main HTPC and it delivers almost 80% more performance than the j4205. UserBenchmark: Intel Core i3-6100 vs Pentium J4205 so if you want to run fancy stuff with questionable optimized emulators you need more power.

Build RC3 201852-52323f1 is online
- updated to latest LE9.0 upstream
- updated Generic/RPi kernel to 4.20.0
- updated several libretro-cores
- updated dolphin & citra
- removed lr-ppsspp for ARM builds
- added lr-kronos to generic builds
- PCSX2 should work fine now -> kernel 4.20 fixed whatever was broken in 4.19
- reverted Pegasus-FE version -> themes work now & last system is saved
- fixed video preview for ES & Pegasus-FE | RPi is somewhat awkward since it needs a special patch to accelerate VLC video playback but it has reversed color channels. So it's more or less WIP.
- lr-mupen64plus is broken for RPi and needs upstream fixing [GLES / RPi3] several glitches, missing polygons or textures · Issue #84 · libretro/mupen64plus-libretro · GitHub | Several flaws with lakka 2.2 - Lakka - Libretro Forums

Have you tried to update with a tar file? Pretty strange all in all

CE is coreelec?. I dont try to update from this version only install it and I have no problems.
So if I am the only with problems with OdroidC2 dont worry. I have more boards:
RPi2
Orange Pi plus 2e
Rock64
Thanks for your support!!!
Yes CE = CoreELEC so you could give it a try and see if the update fails too. Do you have any eMMC stuff installed?
