To me is sounds more like Amlogic 8726-M3 which is an old and unsupported chip.

johngalt Thank you for the patches! I think I can revert sound to current MM kernel state as it was working acceptably. In think I'll do this later this week, more important non-LE things to do.
-
If you run LE from SD or USB and put it to another box, you will keep all your settings.
-
I think that if 4K issues are still there, I will drop the N kernel and focus on backporting decoder and vecm improvements to M kernel.
-
RedCat You're using 4K, right?
-
Rootz It won't work for Amlogic, this basic video player is for RPi only.
There is an app called c2play written by CrashOverride at Odroid forum and if someone makes a package.mk for it, I can try adding an animated splash. I tried compiling it some time ago for LE but I failed.

Nougat kernel builds to test: [DEV ONLY][S905/X] 8.0 with "full Nougat" kernel preview builds
About things looking better on Android, you may need to know that S905X have some sysfs parameters that can be played with in /sys/class/amvecm and /sys/module/am_vecm/parameters. I bet they can have significant effect on what you see on the screen.
-
Important: Do not flash these builds over your current LE installation unless you exactly know what you are doing!
This is not a support thread, please don't ask how to install, downgrade, etc. This is covered in other threads. Development-related posts only, please!
- What are these builds? They are test builds that use a new kernel from Amlogic that is used for Nougat Android firmware. Kernel source is taken from GitHub - khadas/linux at Nougat
-
Where is your kernel source? GitHub - kszaq/linux-amlogic-le at nougat-wip
Please note: the branch will be rebased, squashed and fixed in the future. - Where is the build source? GitHub - kszaq/LibreELEC.tv at nougat-wip
- How do I install? Like every other build of mine. You have to use a new device tree from builds folder!
- Can I downgrade? Yes, to any other 8.0.x build. Remember to use a proper device tree when downgrading.
Please use johngalt's builds from [TESTING][S905(X)] 10bit/HDR/Dithering Test Builds & Discussion

xitpu For MK808B+ you should use MXQ version.

when will full nougat kernel build out for Dowloading?
When it's ready.
-
Given the work required for a full nougat kernel, IMO it would be best to start off slow with your current branches + a few commits/reverts, and go from there. A full nougat kernel could be developed in tandem.
I already have full Nougat kernel working here with a few rebase bugs to fix.
-
johngalt I have noticed that you forked my kernel and that you are working on some changes. I think I will be able to create some test builds with full Nougat kernel later this week. I you have any improvements to share, I welcome every PR!
-
Not in current shape. You also have to keep in mind that my builds are ongoing work in progress, not everybody wants to test. Custom update channel also doesn't provide support for device tree update in case it's needed - and it will be if "full Nougat" kernel makes it into regular builds.
-
Any ideas please?
First idea: you need to read Forum Rules and stop using piracy addons.
-
lookout for libreelec port (possible or not)?
In my opinion LE port is a matter of device tree, nothing else.

Android 6 means that you have a S905X device. Make sure you use one of "gxl" device trees.
