It is already supported.

Thank you for testing. I included the prebuilt module in this build and set kernel options so that it can load (preempt kernel) but it failed for me with kernel panic. I thought that it was because I had a different WiFi chip but it looks like the prebuilt module is the cause and we cannot use it.

Can anyone with 9082xs chip check if this build works, please: LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-devel-20170610224336-r26035-g5b22184.img.gz
Preferably check the build on a "fresh" SD card to not mess up your current LE setup.

I don't think it's possible. Did you reboot after issuing the command?

Is there any method to disable the internal bluetooth chip so I can use my external usb bluetooth dongle ?

What are you downloading with the box?! I installed 8.02b,
but cannot see any difference.
Perhaps they're using OpenVPN.

8.0.2b build uploaded for testing. It is still using MM kernel. Anyone who wants to try Nougat kernel should try out builds from johngalt - he's doing a great job with 10bit + HDR improvements!

It does not.

Remember that playback in Kodi Krypton is done in a much different way and is also quite heavier for the CPU. That can explain not being able to play some samples in Krypton.

can a s905x handle x264 4k/60fps video?
Officially S905/S905X/S912 are capable of decoding H.264 AVC [email protected] up to 4Kx2K@30fps.

Analog/Composite output is not supported in my builds.

You have 8726-M3 which is not compatible with 8726MX builds. As far as I know there is no community build for your CPU, at least not on this forum.

I will switch to OpenSSL in my next build. Thanks to escalade I was able to do this while keeping compatibility with addons that are linked to LibreSSL.

I really like the progress here, two thumbs up and keep up the good job, I won't be able to do this myself.
If you want you can pick a change that should fix long refresh rate changes and audio drops except for the cases when you switch to only a different denominator (e.g. 60 -> 59.978): projects/S905: use "null" display mode only when needed · kszaq/LibreELEC.tv@f663088 · GitHub
johngalt I also like your approach to reverting some drivers to MM, I'm lazy (and don't have much time).

As long as chip manufacturer doesn't care I can't: [S905X] Unknown WLAN chip
