Sorry for disturbance, are there any plans to include new CEC library version that possibly could fix disconnects from Samsung TV for MK808B+?
LibreELEC 8.2 bbuild already have a patched libCEC and in current state there are no things that I can change to improve, meaning that with current kernel it won't get any better, sorry.
I had no issues when using MK808B+ with my Samsung TV, perhaps you can try using a different cable or different mini HDMI adapter?
Does anybody have the link for 8.2.3.1? Still no solution for my H96 Pro plus... maybe this img will work.

This is not required in 8.2.2.3 as GPU runs in Turbo mode by default. Why do you want it if your box is freezing anyway?

dma_buf should improve SW decoding performance but using a Wayland lib is not a way to. Peak3d faced some strong vsync issues with that library. We are waiting for a dma_buf capable and fbdev-only library from Amlogic.
I don't know Python but the only way I know to determine if device is in CVBS mode is grep cvbs /sys/class/display/mode

NB:
LibreELEC implements standard shutdown procedure provided by Amlogic. Every quality box (WeTek, Minix etc.) can properly use it.
An issue is that your box manufacturer implemented some unknown way of shutting down to save a few $cents on building firmware. We don't know how it works and it's highly unlikely a workaround will ever be implemented because developers don't know how it works and don't have hardware that has this issue.
Please ask the box manufacturer to either release source code to implement it or provide a fixed bootloader.
