Avl6862 driver is derived from an open-source Avl6882 driver which unfortunately also has scanning issues. There is no other driver that can be used in LibreELEC. We cannot use Android driver as it is not available in any form (binary or source) and it wouldn't work with DVBv5 API, i.e. TVHeadend, VDR etc.

Would this unit work with the Libreelec firmware with Device tree gxl_p212_3g.dtb?
- Please read forum rules on posting links.
- It won't work, it's S912. S912 builds here: [8.1.6] LibreELEC 8.2 for S912
-
S905 = no HDR
S905X, S905D, S912 (not recommended) = HDR works
This applies to all boxes.

techc4i Please read LE Blog post linked in OP regarding SMB issues.

See attached log. Do you see anything strange in the log?

Any idea when we will be moving to the full 8.2 builds as seems there are littel if any problems with 8.1.x ??
I follow LE numbering: when LE goes 8.2, so do we.

Have you selected correct audio stream?

Is there a custom update channel available for S912? is it possible to get the correct dtb.img to be included in automatic updates?
No, not implemented.
-
Again, the reason for this is is explained in Kodi Forum thread.
One more thing: for Kodi issues you need to post Kodi logs, not fragments of kernel log.
-
It's not possible to backport player changes from Leia. I think the reason for crackling might be the hack-patch used in my builds. Simply disable transcoding.
-
I don't know the reason, this should be a question to Kodi devs.

Thanks for the update - still can't use Windows (SMB) to play my pc files though. Tried using Windows 7 as well. Temporarily reverted back to 8.0.2e build for the time being as it works flawlessly.
Please read release notes for official LE 8.1.0 beta on SMB issues: LibreELEC (Krypton) v8.1.0 BETA – LibreELEC
So if i drop back down to 8.2.105 will i be able to use moonlight addon through Kodi or just through SSH like i'm currently doing with 8.2.106c ?
Frankly - I don't know. It should work as it was deigned to work, I am unable to run Moonlight and check it.
-
ssadal0914 My builds use 32-bit ARM userspace, you should also be able to run RPi2 version - unless something depends on kernel headers, then it might not work.
-
Chewy 8.2.106c was the latest Moonlight version but it was causing crashes for many people, that's the reason for revert. As I am unable to test Moonlight updates, I will rely on upstream LE 8.2 updates.
-
Almost every other build don't support AC3 passthrough for live TV, it's hack-patches in my builds.
-
zed85 I don't have MiniMX, I don't have logs from you. How can I fix it?
-
ozkaradag This is not how you update my builds...
