It should fix it, I looked at what channels were available in builds pre-8.2.2.1 and they are back in 8.2.2.2
"make image" generates a img.gz file and a tar file. I need a amlogic zip update package (.zip), is this possible with 8.X ?
Sorry, not possible with my 8.x branches. I removed it as it wasn't possible to create a universal installer for all devices.

Hermankodi Use "_nand" device tree and run installtointernal two times with reboot between the runs.
New version released with booting issue fixed and random MAC address worked around - now you will get the same MAC every time as it's generated from SoC serial number. I also fixed parsing boot.ini so you can customise it and it will take actual effect. Changelog will be available today evening.
Adr3nal1n SBCs like Le Potato, Odroid-C2 and perhaps Khadas VIM have usually better vendor support than cheap boxes. As you also mentioned, you get a "static" hardware.
I am not advocating for or against any concrete SBC, everyone should judge their needs.
As for mainline Linux, it is possible to run mainline kernel on S905/905X/912 but the mail limitation for LibreELEC is lack of hardware video decoding support.

@cata474 You are right, the file does not exist in LE. Don't worry, I'm compiling 8.2.2.2 now which should fix both booting and random MAC address. If testing goes well, I'll upload it tonight.
This has gone way too off-topic, I moved your discussion to a separate thread. As for your first post Mr.Brown - software decoding on S912 + LE is not completely usable as lots of CPU power has to spent on libhybris translation layer. I think you will get better results with Android + Kodi or SPMC + software decoding.

Everything works fine for me, except Netflix.
So I tested adamg's Kodi 18/Leia-version. Netflix is working with 720p out-of-the-box after installing the addon,
but unfortunately the 3D-autoswitching does not work as in your versions.
adamg said he cannot test this. Do you have any idea, why 3D-autoswitching does work
in your versions flwlessly but not in Kodi18?
Can you give any hint to adamg?

As for DTBs the process if fairly easy to understand if you know the internals of your box. With 100s of clone boxes on the market you cannot maintain a device tree for each and every device on the market, you have to leave some homework for the users.
On the other hand I'm very happy to see members of this forum helping each other and gradually we have less and less people with installation issues. Most of them are "how do I run LE for the first time" which varies from box to box.
Ken82 IR code to wake up the box is defined by u-boot (bootloader) and can be solved only by compiling it with correct code. Bootloader comes from Android firmware so it's nothing I can solve, unfortunately.
