I will see if I can make it available via sysfs and that way "selectable" in autostart.sh.

They unfortunately don't give me any idea on how to make it work.

I would like to use my MCE IR remote (via Harmony) that is attached via USB and the receiver is located near the TV. Any possibility to activate that IR remote as well??I will reply only to let you know that I am not familiar with that kind of receivers and have no idea what's needed to make it work - apart from a driver maybe?
I hope someone else could help you here.

Fantastic work, now wifi is ok!!!
Do you need anyway dmesg from android? Now that it works I don't need it.
-
mikkelnl We need sound driver source and device tree for Minix U1. That's at least and we'll see if there's anything more needed.
It would be great if some could test 7.0.2.006 from SD card with different device trees as I suspend we might not need the driver at all for HDMI output - it may be needed only for analog out.

pm_mickey I already have the firmware, extracted from K2 Pro system image. It is not enough to add it to config.txt as kernel driver lacks entries for that chip. And I'm not sure whether it's BCM4335 or AP6335e as both firmwares are present in K2 image. I need the latest test build checked and we'll see.

Is it possible to have the S805 builds run from USB as the S905 ones can ?I may try adding this, although a first boot will still need an SD card. If it works at all.

Video modes that you can change in Kodi playback menu: Video playback - Official Kodi Wiki (View Mode).

There are no LE 7.90/8.0 builds for generic S905 yet. Soon support for generic S905 will be merged to master LE branch and then you will get Kodi 17. For that I need time.
[hr]Thank you. Can you also post dmesg from Android?
And in the meantime you can also test this: LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0-devel-20160829151228-r23306-gfccda1b.img.gz

I updated from 7.0.2.006, update ok but wifi still don't work. Do you need some logs in order to investigate?Yes, dmesg | paste.

Can you please confirm whether on the latest 4K test build all video modes work correctly: Normal, Zoom, Wide Zoom etc.)?
-
Do you know what influence that patch would have on non-RGB capable displays? Are such displays even available?

I downloaded LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.2.006.img.gzextracted and burned with win32diskimage on sd
Then i replace on root dtb.img with (gxbb_p200_minimx.dtb renamed dtb.img)
I tryed to use toothpick method but recovery doesn't start, device freeze on bear logo. What i can do ?
Try using gxbb_p200_2G_mini_mxg_2_16 device tree.
Just out of interest what device tree should I use for a 1gb t95n mini mx box???gxbb_p200_t95n I thought this is self explanatory...
One question ...
Wrxtasy is coding a libreelec port for the hub only.
Do you add his patches in to your port too?Actually he is using my patches.
And yes, when a valuable patch apperars I add it to my builds.

Video goes through a different path: hardware decoder renders it directly to the screen and it is real 4K. So as long as you decode video in hardware, it'll be real 4K. With software decoding it is limited to 1080p.

kszaq,
I tried but could not find proper video editing tools to cut a few hundred MB from my file. Anyway I download test video from Jellyfish Bitrate Test Files and test. I picked jellyfish-120-mbps-4k-uhd-h264. It works on M18 with alex's OpenELEC or lwiddif's LibreELEC build but not on Mini M8S II.Thanks so much for your work.
Jellyfish 120Mbps 4K plays fine here in both H.264 and HEVC - but I have a S905 device. I'm afraid S905X as a costdown version might not be able to decode that high bitrates.
[hr]
I have a " Mini M8S II " with the last rom Android 6.0.1. Each time boot fail. Boot partition was never mouted.
I write the latest img to microSD. I delete dtb.img at root.If you want a build that so far works works for everyone, please use this image: LibreELEC
Images from my posts are for testing purposes only, I don't have a S905X device and ask users to test builds from time to time.

I'm not aware of such possibility.

Something I've been meaning to ask for a while, when changing skin from the default le confluence skin you loose the option to reboot to nand how do you go about rebooting to nand from within Kodi without the need to remove and card to boot into Android? Is there a command I can send to the box or modify an XML to add that option back in?You can read about adding the option in that post (among others):
LibreELECmichaelchen Can you test this build: 7.0.2.5-i2c-mux-test
If it doesn't work, I'm afraid we're out of options for the moment and have to revert to older driver for that tuner. -
No need to be sorry, please just look around, in many cases the solution is already there.
