Hi all,

I have Minix X8H-Plus with LE 9.0 and I tried update to newer version but I'm not successful.

I can't find logs from updating of LibreELEC-X8H-Plus.arm-9.2.8.2.tar file, .update dir is empty so I made picture from updating.

Any idea how to update it?

Unrelated to 18.3 but it's the same on 18.0 18.2 and 18.3 i have this problem that when i try to run anything that is .mp4 it will either be stuck 1 sec prior to the end if i let it play and if i try to skip or stop the video it will insta freeze.

Checking the system information i didn't see any issue in the Ram but CPU was above 100% on Kodi.bin when this happens.

Afterwards it's impossible to run any commands or exit that screen in any way.

I've tried completely default settings and all the versions, i didn't have it on my old device so i think it's either a Minix or a Kodi issue.

Any idea what could it be or what i could check?

BTW wanted to point out this only happens with mp4 files every other types (so far) are fine.

UPDATE:

Ok after some googling and trial and error i found the issue related to amcodec h264 hardware acceleration if i turn it to off then everything is fine so in case anyone else comes across this try it out.

I found also issue with HW acceleration in last 2 versions of KODI.

I'm not able play next video with HW acc. when I try to play another video I'm get freeze of picture.

But I hadn't that problem with version 18.1.

It looks everything working with SW acc.

I just re-flashed my x8h plus with X8H_PLUS_LOLLIPOP_RC2_NEWBOOT.img, but I can see only black screen after switch on.

is this behaviour OK?

I would like to kindly as for help.

On my Minix X8H-Plus I have problem with device freeze. From my point of view looks like device get freezer only if is connected to the network (and doesn't matter if is connected via LAN or WiFi). Only what I can do after that is unplug device from power.

Logs after restart from device freeze you can find HERE and HERE.

Second problem what I have is issue with Shutdown/Standby of device. when I turn off device I'm not able to switch on again. Unplug device from power is (again) only option to get device working.

I don't have multiboot, but I would like to "burn" LE permanently to my MINIX X8-H+ , but "toothpick process" don't work for me

I gave write *.img to SD and also USB (I used this command for that: dd if=LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.0.2b-X8H-PLUS.img of=/dev/sdX bs=4M )

-> insert SD card/ USB to Minix ( i tried all ports) -> then I hold reset button before I plug device for more like 2 minutes... nothing happen

Am i doing something wrong?
