drivers - Intel e1000e Ethernet not working - Ask Ubuntu based on this it seems to be a bios issue. So pulling out the nuc and waiting 10 minutes helped. Just as changing hardware configuration helped in your case. will see how long it will last..

On my vizio tv I have to enable full uhd color on the hdmi input settings to be able to view 4k at 60hz. Looks like sony calls it something different. In your settings you will need activate hdmi enhanced on the hdmi port you are using.
thank you this helped me. I dont really know why would it be off from the start to begin with, but now finally I was able to get 60fps. I will see how it performs over time but I am happy, Thank you everyone
now only to figure out why there is no audio
edit:fixed

using all 3 of the xrandr commands in the autostart.sh file was finally what worked for me. Thanks mglae you are a lifesaver.
xrandr --newmode "3840x2160p60" 593.41 3840 4016 4104 4400 2160 2168 2178 2250 +hsync +vsync
xrandr --addmode DP1 3840x2160p60
xrandr --output DP1 --mode 3840x2160p60
with these 3 commands on 0710 I end up with black screen on my tv stating no signal.

I cant get your build LibreELEC-Generic.Haswell.x86 to work. All other builds work except that one. It hangs on the syslinux bootloader window. any workaround???
-
I cant get your build LibreELEC-Generic.Haswell.x86 to work. I tried updating, I tried installing from a USB, I tried manually replacing files. What am I missing? The screen always gets stuck on SYSLINUX 6.03 (bootloader prob)

hm Its probably just me, I tried to flash the image using the USB tool it did not work, I ended up with a badly formated usb. I tried to flash a normal image to get the boot manager on the USB. Then overwrite the files on the usb with the files from your tar archive but it still wont boot. am I missing something ? maybe gwilly7 will have more luck

I will be trying tomorrow this, drivers - External screen recognized, but black - Ask Ubuntu
I am running today tests on windows.

yes I did use DP1. I used this tutorial Using xrandr and gtf to add a new mode to your X configuration at runtime | arunviswanathan.com

I did install windows today too to check that there it works. too bad I did not see your post. It would have saved me a few hours. I added 60 fps 4K with xrandr but I always end up with the
xrandr: configure crtc 0 failed
error. I tried to tweak it but I did not manage to get it work.

they both have a hdmi 2.0 port. even tho one of the sites stated only 1.4 for my TV but it seems that a firmware upgrade enables 2.0 on older models. I do have a updated system. but will keep looking for bugs if I find something wrong with the setup. TV and the NUC only have hdmi. no display port

I just tried your build and its the same thing. 3840x2160p@30fps max.

Intel NUC NUC6CAYH
Sorry I just thought that this is not going to be a hardware problem

Hey, I am running LibreELEC on a intel nuc that is capable of outputing 4K at 60FPS with a TV that is capable of showing 4K 60FPS. both units have hdmi 2 or 2.1 ports. On 4K I cant get higher FPS than 30. is there a limit on the linux drivers or in kodi? Thanks
