Hi all, also installed latest alpha and Netflix addon. Works just fine on my RPI2 (at 480p). Keep being impressed with the power of this little device with LibreELEC and KODI. WoW. Thx all.

It works, great. Now I need to find a way to make this permanent, also after rebooting? Grtz, Zac

LibreELEC:/dev # hdparm -S 128 /dev/sda2
/dev/sda2:
setting standby to 128 (10 minutes + 40 seconds)
LibreELEC:/dev #
Tried again with /dev/sda2...seems to work now. Let me check...
Thx! Maybe i'll recall this message in 10 minutes + 27 seconds

Hi, searched related to hdparm and then issued:
LibreELEC:~ # hdparm -S 128 /dev/mmcblk0p2
/dev/mmcblk0p2:
setting standby to 128 (10 minutes + 40 seconds)
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(setidle) failed: Invalid argument
Afraid the last message (invalid argument) predicts this won't just work.
Any help? Thx, Zach

Hi, I've attached a Seagate Backup Plus external HDD to my Raspberry Pi running LibreELEC. Everything works just fine. This drive is a little more active than the previous one, a WD My Book. And what I was wondering now, is it possible to spin down this drive after being idle for let's say one hour or so? Is this possible, does it bring anything? Extented life? Less energy usage? Or should I just leave things as they are? Thx, Zach

Hi, I'd like to run minidlna on my LibreELEC/RPI2. Is there a Docker container or a way to get it installed? Thx, Zach

Hi DaVu, thx for your help. What I want to do is to add a permanent share in Ubuntu to my rpi2. One share is up and running (the one that directly accesses my HDD attached to the rpi). Now I also want to add a permanent share to /libreelec/storage or something like that. With 8.01 (still supporting SMB1.0) I was able to browse the share (I know because of security reasons this isn't possible anymore). But I still need access to /storage/.update for instance so I want to also setup a share that allows me to copy files to these locations from Nautilus. Somehow I can't succesfully add a working line to fstab to achieve this. Any help? Thx Zach

Hi, upgraded to libreelec 8.2 and I have a working smb share setup via /etc/fstab which maps my external HDD (/media/HDD/). Now I also want to mount one level higher. Previously I mounted through Nautilus in Ubuntu with Connect to network but that doesn't work anymore (SMB2/SMB3). Is this possible? How to mount / or /storage as a fixed smb mount point. Thx, Zach

Hi, my Sony CMT hifi finds my KODI server (through WiFi), but once I try to connect it says: "Can't connect". Standard W10 PC with Windows Media Player streams just fine to the Sony CMT (can browse and play all albums, slow browsing but working, etc.). Can I tweak anything on my UPNP/DLNA settings on my KODI/LE/RPI2 setup to make this work? External HDD on RPI2 has all the albums, so.... Thx!

Point taken, arhhguughgh.

Guys, join forces again. Why fight, dispute, argue? One goal: JeOS KODI (rocks forever!).
