first time trying HDR builds, new image didn't boot:
old image (20220217225924) did boot and it seems to work, but my TV never recognized HDR 
could you maybe add some requirements in first post?
my system:
PC: Asus PN60 with i3-8130u
TV: LG OLED C1
should this work?
the only difference to working RasPi I can see is color format:

Installed 8.1.9 on my old Mk808b+ and everything is working ok!
but all my actions seem a bit slower than 7.0.3.3d.
is that just my config (skin etc.) or is 8 more demanding over all?
I flashed back to Android put aml_autoscript and libreelec....update.zip on SD card (without factory_update_param.aml), launched Backup&Upgrade app in android selected the libreelec.zip and proceeded with the upgrade. Box rebooted and started flashing and once complete it booted LE successfully.

I tried to install on Mk808b Pro but there is something wrong with the reset-button:
The device won't start as long as I keep the reset button pressed and when I release the button it doesn't enter recovery.
I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked until I tried the "Backup&Upgrade" tip! great stuff!
so far LE runs smooth, I'll report later after some testing...
I just tested 7.0.2.2: everything works perfect and it does feel faster.
And of course the PowerButton of my remote suddenly works after beeing ignored for 1.5years

I missed the part when you pointed out that this is a USB remote... yes, I can add that keycode to Kodi for the next release.

But now I have to think what to do with it..

You should modify your remote.conf to make the power button work - look for "142" in the last column and change it to "116".
I tried with remote.conf but didn't work...
Isn't remote.conf just for IR-codes?

as far as I can tell keycode translations are handled in "LinuxInputDevices.cpp"
kszaq: I can't get my PS3 controller clone (ShanWan) to connect.
It should be possible with some patches in bluez, are these patches enabled in your current release?

it's running perfectly and CPU usage in idle is way lower than OE
