Just updated to LE 8.0.0 and it works...Even on the picture directory that would crash it every time...Looks like its fixed ... YEAH...great job...Maybe it was fixed by itself
Actually I didn't have much time to look into this issue. I could reproduce it with pictures send by spschneer and this is next thing to fix (audio not working immediately after boot is fixed but not yet included in the build).

Check what permissions are set on those folders to figure out what the problem actually is.
We only build LE on real Linux systems and not familiar with such environment. -

Isn't this indication of bad power supply? Nothing related to problems here. -
You need to set new UUID or use device name. Because when both devices are attached then kernel is used from one (boot) device and system could be used from another..
You could set new UUID from LibreELEC to unmounted device with command like
Codetune2fs /dev/sdXY -U $(uuidgen)On flash partition you need file uEnv.txt, KERNEL, SYSTEM and imx6q-cubox-i.dtb.

This is version 7.95.3 with kernel 3.14 which doesn't have this sound start issue. At least initial tests shows that. -
I'm still on 7.95.2. Will try out this and skip 7.95.3 for now since I had 3 fails with different installs.
Don't expect next version to be much better. With one guy touching basic things and the other doing basic testing you can't expect miracles. -
7.95.3 had u-boot and kernel bump. Seems some things got broken.

If you have "no signal" on tv then you need my version with 3.14 kernel: LibreELEC-imx6.arm-7.95.2-sr-3.14.img.gz
No 7.95.3 yet. -
You need to make a proper package libvlc and add it as dependency for some other. Like everything in LE is build.
