Does your AVR display DTS-HD or DTS-MA when passthrough is enabled ? Just for ha-ha's, have you checked to make sure the "MUTE" wasn't accidentally turned on in Kodi ? I have seen this before.

With your existing hook up, do you also have an HDMI cable connected from your AVR to the TV ? (If so, try unplugging it)
Have you tried (for test only) a single HDMI connection to AVR and then from AVR to TV ? Do all HD Audio formats work then ? Yes, I know your AVR won't pass 4K but this is to test audio only.

Instead of using an HDMI Splitter, have you tried using both outputs from the NUC (HDMI and Display Port) at the same time ?
Maybe use the HDMI for audio output to your AVR and the USB-C (DP1.2) for the video to your TV ? You will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter cable I think. This is assuming both outputs work simultaneously.

When switching from Libreelec to CoreELEC, can you just place the CoreELEC file in the Libreelec "updates" folder ?
Or should someone do a Backup, Fresh install and Restore ?
-
tigervnc or dispmanx vnc
check to see if the official libreelec repository includes them

See post #29 in this thread:
Video stutter 25Hz Videoplayback with Hardwaredecoding Libreelec 9.0
Kodi 18.2 fixes the issue. Libreelec will incorporate Kodi 18.2 in the next update (due soon ?)

I found a much newer version of Retroarch and it worked but I had many issues with the controller cutting in and out so I gave up on Retroarch.
In the meantime I got the LE built-in game section working perfectly.

About a year ago, we installed the Retroarch add-on on our Intel NUC running Libreelec (version ??). It worked perfectly. Today, we tried to fire up the Retroarch add-on and nothing happened. We then added the GAMES folder back to the LE main menu and tried adding games (ROMS ?) but after navigating to the ROMS, it saw nothing.
I could use a little help
We're running LE 9.0.1

Reading the specs for the HW-Q60R, there is no mention of support for TrueHD or DTS-HD
-
It would be helpful if you listed your hardware - HTPC specs & AVR make and model #'s and if they are connected via HDMI

Read post #9
It's an older thread, so I don't know if it will apply to later versions of Libreelec

The CoreElec site is back up

So your saying it won't work on BRIX
I was just correcting your post
-
Intel makes the NUC
Gigabyte makes the BRIX
Libreelec 9.0.1 contains Kodi 18.1
-
To get proper help, you should list your hardware and log files when asked

Are you using the Context Menu (keyboard C key) to delete a file or the keyboard's "delete" key ?
Both methods work for me
