It's strange that no others have complained about this issue. You can't be the only one using analog output on a Pi 2/3

Here's a USB Audio Adapter that does not hog room from your usb jacks
-
Have you tried playing videos from a thumb drive to eliminate network issues ?
Are you using the correct power supply for the Pi 4 ?
-
Well I can honestly say I've tried all the above suggestions and none work.
No matter what I try LibreELEC has low volume over line out/analogue.
Did you try the USB adapter in post #9 above ?

You could always try something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/b00irvq0f8
It sure does sound like LE is not controlling the analog audio output volume of the Pi

In Kodi
- Go to Add-ons
- Install from repository
- Kodi Add-on repository
- Program Add-ons
- Backup > Install
- Run Backup and configure remote path for backup files
I'm not sure if this works with Libreelec Restore or if you need to install the Backup Add-on and run restore once Libreelec is installed.

It sounds like the Rpi3 has a lower than normal line level output. What is the volume like when using an hdmi cable directly to your tv ?

I don't think anything is wrong. It probably just idles at 800 MHz and scales up to whatever is needed. SirMacke said it's "stuck" on 800 though. He should run an HD video and check the CPU speed at the same time.

I have two old Intel i5 NUCs
Model: DC53427HYE (2013)
CPU: i5-3427U (base 1.80 GHz, Max Turbo 2.80 GHz)
With Libreelec 9.1.002 ALPHA, here are the readings I get in System Info / Hardware information:
CPU Temp: 120° F
CPU Speed: 798 MHz (most of the time) - over a 10 minute period I watched it go from 798 MHz up to 2186 MHz for only a few seconds.
I run CPU-Z on my Win 10 Desktop and I don't know if there is an similar addon for Kodi which gives accurate hardware readings.
Does LE even have the ability to throttle the CPU Speed lower than base ?

You might get help in the correct sub forum here:
You box contains an Amlogic S805-B Quad Core processor.

I see this message occasionally when first started but I do have a network connection and everything works

Are you pressing the power button on your media pc remote or on the computer itself ? What make/model is your media PC ?

This is a long shot but give post #2 in this thread a try:

Did you try the other HDMI jack on the RPi4 ?
Did you try another HDMI cable ?
Did you try another HDMI input on the Marantz ?
Are you using the original RPi4 power supply ?

Unless your "speakers" are amplified, they won't produce any sound when plugged into the motherboard jacks. If your PC Speakers are amplified, it's possible Libreelec does not have the proper audio drivers for your motherboard.
