i have now spent 2 days trying to get analog audio for LibreElec 10 with no success. There are only 2 options, either go back to LibreElec 9 or throw my Sonos 5 (first edition) in the trash for about € 500,00.
Which "DAU" just thought of not offering the analog sound anymore, felt 95% of users still need analog sound, the remaining 5% don't use a Raspberry, it's way too cheap for the sheiks of this world.
Did you read post #2 above ?

LibreELEC (official): 9.95.2 (Generic.x86_64)
LibreELEC:~ # journalctl|grep Power_script
May 06 17:50:23 LibreELEC systemd-sleep[26925]: Power_script
May 06 17:50:27 LibreELEC sh[26937]: Power_script
LibreELEC:~ #
It looks like there are 2 lines. The first line contains a 4 second delay (2 X 2sec), right ?
Can I delete the bottom one ?
How ?

OK - so I ran journalctl and the complete log was shown. I typed "q" to exit the log. I still don't know if the script is running twice or not. I'm afraid this stuff is just beyond my comprehension. Thanks for the help but I'm afraid I don't understand most of what your are offering.
Without step by step instructions, I'm lost most of the time.

I'm not sure if I did it correctly, so I ran it a few times. I don't see any result.
Edit: I just realized that I didn't add echo Power_script as stated in post #38
Oh well - even if I am running the script twice, it's working now every time.
-
Exactly what does "journalctl|grep Power_script" do ?
Am I supposed to run that command after suspend/resume in the SSH console using Putty ? What results am I to expect ?
How do I know if I am running the script twice ?
-
mglae I'm sorry but I don't fully understand your question. Are you saying I might be running 2 scripts ? I never did erase the one you helped me with back in Dec 2019. It worked for a short time then stopped working. ghtester helped me on this thread to get it working again. I don't know if both scripts or just 1 is working.
I don't know my way around the SSH Console using Putty that well, so you'll need to explain in step by step fashion.

Update: I changed the delay to 2 + 2 seconds and it still works flawlessly every time.
-
If you're not experiencing any problems and 8.2.5 is doing what you want it to do, then why even consider updating ? Then again, if you want to take a test drive, I would recommend installing a different hard drive if you have a spare. If it doesn't work out, just swap back.

I added the 5 + 5 second delay using nano and saved it. I tested it this morning. It came on with no sound and then the screen blinked and sound was there ☺
If this continues to work, I may experiment with smaller delays.
Thanks again for the help. I'll update this thread if necessary.

Update: I turned on my Intel NUC tonight and NO AUDIO. I ran the script mentioned in post #29 and the screen blinked and the audio returned. I wonder why the script didn't work when I fired up the NUC from resume ? Is it possible to add a delay to the script - maybe 5 seconds or more ?
If not, is it possible to run this script with a button on my remote ? (Harmony 665)
-
I have audio after resume now but I'll know tomorrow for sure. Thanks so much for all your help ghtester !
-
OK - I ran #3 and then #4
Here's the response from #4:
Created symlink /storage/.config/system.d/suspend.target.wants/kodiresume.servic
e - /storage/.config/system.d/kodiresume.service.
Is that the correct response ?

Can I cut and paste #3 & 4 or does each line get entered separately ?
I ran #1 and 2 and got this:
warning: output HDMI-1 not found, ignoring
warning: output HDMI-1 not found, ignoring
Should I change it back to HDMI1 ?
-
Yes, I did that. Still no audio until I manually toggle the refresh rate. Maybe something else in the script is outdated or need a tweak.
Note: If I'm watching TV and switch to Libreelec, then audio is always working.
-
That worked. I opened the file again to check and the changes were there. ☺
I turned off (suspend) my Intel NUC and turned it back on but NO AUDIO
Oh well - back to the drawing board
Thanks for the help

I'm sorry but I have no idea how to exit the nano editor. The green cursor is now at the end of:
File Name to Write: /storage/.coinfig/sleep.d/99-toggle_rate.power <cursor here
